Friends, in today's article I would like to touch upon one relevant, acute and very common topic - the topic of excess weight. I have my own well-thought-out and proven strategy on this score. I will briefly outline it here.

To begin with, obese people are people, as a rule, with a deficit of self-acceptance. This quality is rooted in childhood, and extra pounds only confirm its presence. Excess weight in a metaphorical sense is a shell, an armor of a very tender, wounded, disliked and unheated soul.

What to do with this fact of "non-activity"? How to delicately remove the external, weight "protection", strengthening such a vulnerable insides?

This is where the truly magical knowledge and possibilities of practical psychology come in handy. So, we have logically approached the first provision of the strategy outlined by me.

1. Filling the deficit of love or working with the inner child

This work includes:

- special affirmations about love and acceptance;

- any spa treatments;

- relaxation or meditation practices to relax and replenish with positive energy.

- strengthening massage courses;

- recreational walks in the fresh air;

- writing letters of gratitude and acceptance to oneself in childhood;

- work with your own reflection in the mirror with approving statements about yourself;

- a conversation with your inner child (for this you can use a doll or other toy, imagining them as an inner child): say affectionate words to him, remember aloud good episodes from childhood, hug him, hug him to your chest, promise to cherish and protect in your present and the future;

- visiting children's performances, films, New Year's and circus performances;

- riding on park attractions or swings.

The list goes on …

What other psychological difficulties are there in this connection? External burdens, in my opinion, can also be associated with a large accumulation of stuck negativity: unspoken grievances, unexpressed anger, excessive (hypertrophied) feelings of guilt or duty, as well as other unnecessary psychological garbage that needs to be worked out and purified …, we "lower" external accumulation … So we come to the second point of my strategy …

2. Psychological work to cleanse the accumulated (and deeply stuck) emotional negativity

Here we can use a variety of meditative and relaxation psychological techniques, such as: "Home", "Island of Liberation", "Golden Stream", my author's exercise - "Walk with the Guardian", and so on and so on …

This systematic and lengthy work is carried out regularly, in face-to-face meetings.

3. Visualization of the image

Visualization of the results accelerates the path of the desired acquisition. This is an obvious and proven way to implement intents. Therefore, this point is reasonably included in our strategic system.

In this regard, you can prepare, for example, a personal VISUALIZATION BOARD, in the center of which the client places his DESIRED IMAGE, and around indicates (inscribes) all the obvious advantages of the desired acquisition, supporting them with pictures if necessary. You can also carry out such a practice in a special way before going to bed, imagining yourself as an ideal, as it were in the accomplished time, in some alternative reality (to which you are now moving) - happy and successful, in all details and nuances.

The work with the visualization of the image should be carried out regularly, several times a day. Its process and results are discussed with a specialist at face-to-face meetings.

Thus, we have come to the final stage of the concept. When the therapist together with the client make up a certain planned wheel similar to the well-known Wheel of Life Balance, here it can be called the Wheel of the Perfect Image. This is a very convenient and beautiful wrapper for a position, the content of which sounds like this.

4. Drawing up a plan of concrete actions for working with weight and its systematic implementation in life

This includes:

- walking for an hour every day or every other day;

- club or individual fitness training;

- dancing, aerobics, swimming;

- revision and adherence to a different diet (taking into account the exclusion of flour, fried and fatty foods);

- introducing a large amount of high-quality drinking water into the diet - from 1.5 to 2.5 liters per day;

- replacement of old eating habits with new ones (more correct, useful).
