What is insight? It is an insight, a sudden understanding, an epiphany. This is an idea that changes your current state to a great extent. Some insights change your perception of the world for a long time, or even for a lifetime.

And you know what is most interesting with insights? We forget about them too often.

Here's a task for you right now … Its duration is exactly 1 minute. Take the risk of spending it on reflection. So that's it. Try to remember those insights that changed the quality of yours. In the style: “Bazz…. Whoa! It turns out that it’s like that !!!”. Not from the series: “Damn, I forgot to buy sour cream in the store”, but rather global ones with long-term consequences. Once again, you only have 1 minute.

Just wondering how many options did you remember in 1 minute?

I will not give an exact figure, but I am 100% sure that you will not remember all the key insights for yourself. Well, so what? Let's think about it. Every global insight changes our lives. Every time you forget it, it deprives us of something and adds to our problems. Let me give you 3 illustrative examples.

If you are anxious, then you are doing well

This insight came to me long ago during Holotropic Breathwork. Its essence is simple. If you are anxious, you think about the future tense. What time do you not think about? About the present. And who has the ability to think about the future? The one who is doing well now.

What happens when I forget about it? I may be anxious and take anxiety seriously as something that reflects the idea of "I feel bad right now." That is, the loss of contact with this insight adds a bunch of problems.

We remove our fears when we realize our desires

Most people exaggerate the importance of fears. Naturally, they are scary. And they almost always lose sight of an important detail. Each fear is our desire, which is hidden behind the mask of fear, this is the very desire to lose.

For example, if you are afraid of losing control, then you really want to control your behavior. If you are afraid of dying, then you want to enjoy life. If you are afraid of health problems, then you want to take advantage of your health. If you are afraid of not being in time for something, then you want to do your job well enough. And so on by analogy.

Better to do a little, but today than a lot and never

On the one hand, it's kind of like ordinary humor. On the other hand, almost every single person (and even with enviable regularity) falls into the trap of a procrastinating perfectionist, when it is the desire to do something good or completely that becomes an obstacle in order to start doing something at all.

What is the benefit of following this insight? An opportunity to start, get involved, take the first step, make a hole in the monolith of your business. As comrade Bender said: "e2-e4, and we'll see."

Yes, it’s worth clarifying right away that the three indicated (and any other ALIEN’s insights) may seem like something natural, ordinary, banal to you. And this is natural! After all, insights should happen with you … That is, collective insights are rather the exception to the rule.

And it's worth thinking about this. Keep insights close to yourself. In the form of reminders, collages and other methods of mechanical clues that would place your insights within walking distance. Even though you know them. And they felt it. And even if they are imprinted on your brain (that is, and so it is nowhere closer).

And therefore I will ask the question again (feel free to share your answer in the comments) - what insights have changed your life?
