Quite often they hear in their address the phrase "you are a psychologist …" and this is usually followed by many variations on the topic of what a "real psychologist" should do and not do.

For example:

-You are a psychologist, advise … (and then the story goes for 40 minutes, with details of the life circumstances of the person who met you at the moment somewhere on the street or in the entrance.)

- you are a psychologist, you should not allow yourself to get irritated, lose your temper, etc. absolutely nowhere.

-you are a psychologist, tell me what you think of me

- you're a psychologist, how can you …

It is interesting why it is believed that a person of any profession other than psychological or near psychological, works at work, and outside of it usually he is not required to be in a "working state" for 24 hours in essence.

It would be strange to see, for example, a designer who, outside of work, would always calculate, design, draw something, at home, at work, in a store, in public transport.

Or an accountant who doesn’t part with a calculator and reports even at night.

But if you are a psychologist by profession, then you simply have to be a psychologist everywhere, always and with everyone. And if you suddenly, somewhere in a store or in public transport, did not justify this honorary title, you will definitely hear in your address "you are a psychologist …"

For some reason, it is believed that psychologists are such robots, all the time analyzing, understanding everyone, altruists, living only with the worries and problems of other people, and having no right to personal space, emotions and rest from work.

And the acquaintances surprise even more. It doesn't matter how much you know them, for many years or for 5 minutes, to the question “you’re a psychologist, tell me what you think of me”, it is believed that the answer about his psychological profile should follow immediately.

I used to explain for a long time that I leave “work” at work, and outside my office, I perceive people simply as people, and not as potential clients, therefore I don’t analyze their behavior, emotions, and even more so I don’t make up any “portraits”

Recently, I honestly began to answer such questions “I don’t know”.

Here you can hear so many interesting things, people start to overwhelm with emotions, like this, "you are a psychologist, you must …".

Meanwhile, I really love my profession, but I believe that the profession should remain a profession, not a way of life. Although, undoubtedly, any profession leaves a certain imprint on the way of life. But psychology is perhaps the only one in which such increased attention is focused on this.

In other words, there is such a profession as "tyzhpsychologist".
