Mood is emotions that last longer, they are not instantaneous. A bad mood is rarely pleasant, and it’s probably not gentle to constantly worry about negative emotions, because this is what this notorious bad mood can do:
Helps to formulate arguments (When sadness is better than happiness, Forgas J., 2007). A person is inclined to use specific facts, take more into account the current situation, make fewer mistakes and distortions in judgments, which gives experience and weight that make him as a writer and broadcaster more convincing.
Improves memory. In one experience (How bad weather improves memory, Forgas J., 2009), it was found that customers remembered much more about what is inside the store on cold and cloudy days, when they felt less cheerful than on warm sunny days. when life was like a fairy tale. The study also demonstrated that when a person is not in a very good mood, they are less likely to accidentally spoil their memory by invoking later inaccurate information.
Encourages persistence. After all, why bother when you already feel great? At academic exams, a person in a gloomy mood (Cognitive, motivational and interpersonal benefits from a bad mood, Forgas J., 2013) will answer a few more questions - and the answers will also be correct - and will cheer up. So it might be a good idea if the student applicants are a little afraid before exams.
Makes a person more polite. In moments of decline (Cognitive, motivational and interpersonal benefits from bad mood, Forgas J., 2013), people are more circumspect and cautious and are more likely to succumb to unconscious social mimicry (when, unknowingly, they mirror the gestures and language of another person), and behavior is characterized by an increase in social connections. When a person feels great, he is more confident in himself, in the sense of focusing on himself, himself, himself, neglecting the proposals of other people.
Encourages generosity. A person in a negative mood pays more attention to fairness (Cognitive, Motivational, and Interpersonal Benefits from Bad Mood, J. Forgas, 2013) and is more inclined to reject unfair offers.
Reduces the number of errors associated with beliefs. In a study of people with unwavering political views (Anger and the search for contradictory information, Jung M., 2011), it was shown that angry people read more articles that disagreed with their opinion, rather than resorting to immediate approval (although usually they are more likely to seek information confirming what we believe to be true). And after studying opposing views, they changed their minds more often. Anger seems to create a “stop opposition” mentality by encouraging him to explore what this poor guy has to say in order to rip him to shreds while leaving doors open to be convinced otherwise.

“The youth went wrong,” the older generation grumbles. If we proceed from this message, one gets the impression that wherever we look, we are surrounded by effeminate men, “IT people” crouching in their virtual world, emancipated hysterics and girls who dream only of how to quickly marry a rich “sugar daddy”.
BAD PSYCHOTHERAPIST OR BAD ADVICE ABOUT BAD PSYCHOTHERAPIST
A popular topic today is warning clients in need of psychotherapeutic services about unprofessional, “bad”, exploitative therapists. I think it is necessary to cover such topics. But the lighting is careful, competent and thoughtful. I came across an article that aims to show clients which therapists to run away from.
Ways To Overcome Irritability, Anger, Bad Mood After A Traumatic Event
Irritability, anger, and a bad mood very often haunt people who have experienced a traumatic event. The main reasons for the occurrence of such conditions are increased excitability and reactivity of the nervous system, as well as a post-traumatic tendency to negatively assess life, oneself and other people.
The Chicago Phenomenon And Not-Good News
Prohibition Chicago. A gang bursts into the bar. The leader addresses the taper: - Hey! One-eyed, sing "Chicago"! - I am not one-eyed and I will not sing "Chicago", the people are insolently responsible for the piano.
Why Do Good Girls Fall In Love With Bad Boys And Good Boys Fall In Love With Bad Girls?
Cases when good people fall in love with "bad" people are not uncommon. Why is this happening? The explanation can be found in the theory of Ronald Fairbairn (a famous British psychoanalyst, one of the founders of object relations theory).
