We are happy, sad, afraid. And our body helps us experience these emotions. The body is a tool for realizing various emotions.
To simplify everything, then any emotion is a set of hormones and muscle tension.
But if the body realizes our emotions, then through the body we can learn to control them.
Sadness, sadness is a difficult emotional experience. It takes up a lot of energy and can be the beginning of severe depressive conditions.
All people are different. Some quickly deal with sadness as soon as the cause disappears, and some get stuck in this state for a long time. How can I help myself?
Different feelings are reflected in different muscles.

The shoulders are lowered and pulled forward, the head hangs, the chest is tied up, compressed.
Now try a little exercise - an experiment.
Sit on a chair, spread your arms wide to the sides and tilt your head back a little, relax your chest muscles. Take a deep breath and a long breath.
And now - remember something sad.
Please note that in this position, you will not be able to maintain a state of sadness for long. It will either go away or you will want to lower your shoulders, neck, tighten the muscles of your torso.
It is impossible to strain the chest area in such a position, which means that there is no muscle clamp that will "keep" sadness at the physical level.
By regularly practicing this exercise, you train yourself to keep your chest relaxed, mobile, breathing, wide open. You are destroying the body shape that holds the sadness at the physical level and thus simply dissolves this emotion.
Of course, if there is a new reason to be sad, the sadness will return. But now you know what to do with it.
The ability to maintain, regain peace of mind is an important skill. Only in this state is it easy for a person to accumulate energy, strength, increase charisma, realize himself, his goals and enjoy life.
