Emotions are what helps us to receive information about the world around us.
There are several theories about whether emotions are the same in different people. There is a theory of emotional intelligence, which says that basic emotions (sadness, joy, anger, fear) are the same for everyone and you can learn to recognize them.
Another point of view is that emotions of different people are similar, but not the same: they are influenced by how a person learned them and what attitude he has towards them.
For example, sadness.
The first time you experienced this feeling at 2 years old, when your beloved dog died. Then one of the adults explained to you that you are sad, and then he said that you can be sad, but only until the evening, and then it is already bad and wrong.
Then evening came and that very feeling did not let you go. You began to restrain and scold within yourself (= learn from adults how to deal with this emotion correctly).
Then you grew up. When there were situations where a feeling of sadness visited you, your skill grew, you more skillfully scolded yourself, stopped and did not allow yourself to be sad. And in the end, you entered adulthood with the fact that sadness is a bad feeling that should not be experienced.
In this example, the attitude "bad" was also formed because you were berating yourself, stopping the feeling. Self-directed aggression cannot be positive.
Each person has their own story with the emotions / feelings they experienced. Each has its own unique inner emotional pattern.
By understanding what kind of emotional scheme you have, you can better learn to understand yourself, as well as make a regular revision of your beliefs about yourself and the world around you.
What After Beliefs?
Beliefs influence our choices: what profession to choose, what to do, to work for hire or self-employed, how to act in conflicts, with whom to build a family, what rules will be in this family, on what principles children will be brought up, and so on.
Elections affect the quality of our life. Yes, our life depends on our choices.
And inaction is also a choice.
