Feelings familiar?
This always happens when we compare ourselves with other, more successful people in something.
And then you not only want to quit your business, but even start something no longer lies.
This trap is easy to fall into - especially now that, thanks to the Internet, we can see many amazing stories of other people.
And then, against the background of this avalanche of someone else's success, our own life begins to seem dull.
The problem is that we get used to observing others "one-sided", seeing only what they want to show or even what we are ready to perceive.
But behind every such amazing story, there is always a story about the difficulties people faced in the process of achieving their dreams.
Any success is a series of certain choices.
And every choice is at the same time a rejection of something. This is the rule of the Universe, it works even for the smallest things.
You choose coffee, which means that right at this moment you are influencing the tea.
You choose to read, and at the same time you give up the walk.
You choose to fulfill your dream and you have to give up some things too.
The higher the price of the selection, the greater the “payment”.
Understanding this principle is very useful in order not to sour at home, looking at other people's photographs or studying stories, but to do something for your dreams.
Try to figure out how people got what you want.
And then you will find out that their story is not so magical at all: that they are not just lucky or they have some special qualities.
If everything were so easy, it would really be incredible stories (incredible - in the sense that they are unreal).
Whenever possible, ask people how they did it.
Most are happy to share their experiences.
And then you will find out that a colleague bought a car on credit and now 75% of her salary goes to cover it and support the "baby".
It's not that she managed to save what you think, but that she made the decision to pay that price. For her, the urge to drive was stronger than the inconvenience. But she doesn't care - just because she really wanted to.
Ask your mom's friend's daughter how she got the book out.
And it turns out that she published it with her own money. Just because she wanted to. Just because it's nice to hold your book in your hands. And she realizes that she won't be bought on Amazon or at the book fair. But she likes to give it to her friends. No magic or special achievements, see? Man wanted, man did.
By the way, many bloggers also work in a dusty office - because they need to live on something. And in the evenings, instead of delicious cocoa and a TV series at night, they prepare texts and illustrations for posts for two or three hours, think over a plan, spend money on paid promotion and participate in events for free.
As you can see, there is no magic either. Only a great desire to engage in this activity. And pleasure, of course)
The result of success is always public and easy to notice. But how people went to him remains behind the scenes.
Taking these stories too seriously, you start to believe that there really is some secret of "how to hack life" and dream of repeating this trick.
The only secret is to do what you really like and not to bet everything you have, to have not only a strategy, but also a "plan B".
And then, even if you fail, you can always say: "But it was interesting."
It is also important to understand what the price is behind the achievement of a dream, and to make a decision in your common mind that you are ready to make a "payment" (or not - which is also not a bad decision))
