Blazing frontiers of Personality
Arseny's soul was striving for medicine. But my father insisted on legal. Not having the strength and desire to contradict his father, the obedient son successfully passed the entrance exams and entered a lawyer. Only a couple of days later I ended up in the hospital with allergies. The skin all over his body was swollen with scarlet blisters.
The father pushed his son, filled his borders and imposed his will. And Arseny has all the makings of becoming an excellent doctor. Now the guy is on the wrong path, which does not correspond to his nature and talents.
The body reacted to this with a sharp protest. A psychosomatic symptom in the form of a flaming skin makes one draw attention to itself. And if nothing is changed, then Arseny, indeed, will often come into contact with medicine, but as a patient.
Are the squeezed borders of a person and inflamed skin somehow connected?
Another example.
Anfisa is anxious and scared. In life, a woman faced pain, humiliation and betrayal. The outside world is dangerous to her. And the boundaries of her personality are weak and vulnerable.
Even before the quarantine, Anfisa did not like minibuses - a lot of people, dirty handrails - she was afraid to get dirty and scratched. Although I understood that the handrails were ordinary. And you can wash your hands at home.
The woman noticed that she was calmer in her soul when her hands were in gloves, and in the summer - in thin lace. Soon, many began to wear gloves for fear of the virus. And she became even calmer.
How are gloves and a woman's weak boundaries connected?
Let me ask a question: which organ of the body is constantly in contact with the environment? The main function of this part of the body is to protect the body from external influences.
- LEATHER.
The skin frames the body and is the border. One side is in contact with the body, and the other side is in contact with the environment. On an unconscious level, the skin symbolizes boundaries. The location of the psychosomatic symptom tells you where to look for the problem. Skin diseases often indicate a violation of psychological boundaries
Imagine a rickety fence around a private house. A fence for a home is the same as psychological boundaries for a person. If the psychological boundaries are full of holes, then it is easy to overcome them, climb into personal space, encroach on the interests of a person and rip off like sticky.
Example.
Praskovya Andreevna is a "good aunt", which is ridden by all and sundry, using her time and energy. Her aggressiveness is blocked, she cannot say "no" and goes on about it. The older woman's interests are regularly violated.
A constant companion of a woman is itchy neurodermatitis, which is expressed by a rash, peeling and redness of the skin. But the woman does not see the relationship between the fact that she is being used and a skin disease.
Her inflamed skin scares and keeps people at bay. The body defends itself as best it can, symbolically signaling: "Do not come, keep at a distance from me."
Vivid symptoms of our heroes focus on the need to protect the weak boundaries of the personality from the aggressive effects of the environment.
It is possible to realize how boundaries are violated, to learn how to protect and strengthen them in psychotherapy sessions.

Borders. Unbearably Hot - Unbearably Cold
The topic of boundaries in the context of human relations is one of the most pressing. Indeed, in contacts, we constantly come into contact with others, some of our side. If we approach very close, that is, we violate the border, it is very easy to fall into a merger.
