The first experience is always exciting, and perhaps even scary for someone. Getting naked and opening up is scary! At such moments, we become more sensitive, which means we are more vulnerable. Our sensitivity allows us to experience new sensations. They can be both pleasant and not very pleasant. There is a risk of experiencing pain. This is precisely the pain that scares. It is scary to take the first step for this very reason. I am now writing about my first visit to a psychologist. It so happened that there are a lot of myths and misconceptions on this score

>

The most common: "psychos go to a psychologist, and I'm normal" or a notion like "I can handle it myself." There is also the illusion that going into alcohol, drugs, computer games or other addiction can fill the gaping void inside. But, as practice shows, in reality everything is different: psychos do not go - they are taken away, and not to a psychologist, but to a psychiatrist; dependence is only aggravated, leading to physical destruction, such as manifestations of chronic diseases. You can cope with any problem on your own, the question is whether it is appropriate

If your faucet is dripping, you can study the device of the faucet and how to fix it, or we can turn to a plumber for help. If a tooth is ill, we easily study the medical literature on this topic, purchase the necessary equipment and voila - we fix our tooth ourselves. But why? What's the point if there is already someone in the world who has repaired a single tap and cured thousands of teeth. He has several options for solving the problem at once and, taking into account the skill, the process will take much less time. If there is someone who can help, why not use this opportunity? Why suffer and suffer? Oh yes. Out of fear. Fear of pain. So it is with the dentist. Who visits him for prophylaxis? Units. Most are waiting for unbearable pain, in comparison with which fear fades. So it is with emotional experiences. People, at times, do not feel the first signals of the psyche and bring themselves to psychosis, and this is half a step away from psychiatry

Sensitivity is given to us in order to navigate in the space of the soul, and pain is just a vital indicator. It hurts, it means it is still alive, it means - there is, it means you can help and there is something to save. This is exactly how, through the search for pain, the dentist is looking for a bad tooth in order to cure, and the psychologist is looking for problem feelings in order to also cure. Through sensitivity, the psychologist looks for painful spots and lives them with the client so that in the future, such sensations cause at least a neutral reaction of the psyche, and for someone it is possible that such experiences will become resourceful in the future
