The other day I was asked a question, "Is psychology related to career guidance"?
My answer: of course YES!:) Let me explain! I'm going to generalize a little now, so let's include abstract thinking.
The possibility of professional development and success largely depends on how:
personality traits = the requirements of the profession
This is expressed in CVK (professionally important qualities), which are not formed from scratch, but grow out of personal qualities (abilities, motives, characteristics, etc.).
For example, In the position of a sales manager, an active, sociable, open-minded person is desirable, courageous enough to find new customers and understanding to be able to retain them.
These qualities can be further developed in oneself, but not grown from scratch. If you are not particularly interested in other people, and from the need to first meet you throws you into a faint - then think about whether your daily efforts to find new customers will be effective? And are they worth your worries, state of health, mood? And how long will you last?
Well, I think you get the logic. Therefore, when choosing a field / position / place of work, you need to understand how comfortable you will be working here.
What is comfortable? In my opinion, professional comfort - this is when a person has:
- the ability to do what he wants and how he wants it;
- the ability to NOT do what he does NOT want, and how he does NOT want;
- periodic development zone, when it is necessary to do what he does NOT want to get what he wants.
In many ways, these opportunities are determined by personal qualities, ranging from the type of temperament to personal values and meanings. They can be summarized and called features. And if you take the risk and go even further, then weirdness.
Indeed, it is true that many have some oddities that in one case interfere, in the other do good.
For example, emotionality interferes with making objective decisions, but without it there would be no ability to understand the emotions of other people.
And disorganization is useful in creativity. Suspiciousness in the protection of information. Freedom in entrepreneurship. One has only to find a place where they can be safely implemented and at the same time be successful.
To do this, I suggest you investigate your oddities!
AN EXERCISE
1. Watch the 5 minute video
2. Think about some of your peculiarities, not too small (like, I always open the door with my right hand), but significant in your life (for example, I can come up with something unexpected, non-standard, or stay calm in any situations).
3. Write 7-10 options for how you COULD implement this feature in your work.
4. Rank these options, depending on how much you WANT to do it.
5. Opposite the first 3-4 options, write if you can bring this into your work now.
6. And most importantly, will you feel that you are more self-actualizing?

Career Guidance For A Teenager
Describe your child's abilities in 4 columns: ACADEMIC is school success. but you need to look not at the grades, since they are subjective, but at the abilities (for example, your child can express thoughts and write well, but your literature teacher has a prejudiced attitude towards those who have their own thoughts, and the algebra grades are lowered because that the handwriting is bad).
Career Guidance: For Whom And For What?
Choosing a profession, choosing a place of work, building a career, finding your vocation - these topics appear in the life of almost everyone, and the world, of course, did not leave them without attention. Many answers to questions related to definition in the profession can be found in the vocational guidance system.
Vocational Guidance
Career guidance in the modern world is very important. And there is a need to turn it on while the child is in school. So that he deliberately entered the university and chose exactly "that" profession. Why is it important to start career guidance from adolescence?
