- Come on, will I make you laugh today? - offered the client, - I remembered a funny story from my childhood. A very funny story. When I talk, everyone has fun. And then everything is somehow serious on this therapy comes out.

And he told how, being ten years old, he got into a store, where under the sign "Samplers" among the sliced cheese for some reason there was a whole bar of chocolate in a package. The boy collected the groceries according to the list given to him by his mother and put the chocolate bar in the bag "After all, the samples are free." The boy paid for everything except the chocolate. The salesman said nothing, just watched the boy go. The town is small - everyone knows each other. Towards evening, a police car with a siren pulled up to the house. Her father was waiting for her. The policeman greeted and asked to call the boy. The boy, however, said that he would arrest him for theft and handcuffed him. The boy was put in a police car, taken to the police station, handcuffed to a chair. An invisible someone was yelling behind him. Shouted "I stole too and now I'm here." The boy did not understand why and for some reason this was all and was very afraid that the drunk would reach him. Only when closer to midnight the boy was taken home and the policeman in the car said that stealing chocolate is also a theft, did the boy begin to understand something.

- And the funny thing is that I never eat chocolate since then, even a cake with chocolate cream, - summed up the client.

When the client told this story, he laughed heartily. He relished the details of the story, emphasizing what a funny dumbfounded face he had when he was ten.

I listen attentively, my soul hurts and tears come. I look at the client's face. Something is wrong in the face, something is not harmonious. The lips are stretched in a smile, but higher … The mimic folds froze as if paralyzed. There are no funny wrinkles around the eyes that come from a sincere smile. And the eyes … The eyes are not at all funny. In my eyes, I see frozen pain, fright and unshed tears. That ten year old boy lurked there

“Why aren't you laughing?” The client asks. “It's a very funny story! I was such a fool.

In response, I talk about my pain, about the image of the boy I presented. That handcuffing a child is not funny.

- Do you think this is not funny? Do you feel the pain of the story? The client falls silent. I am silent too …

- Father, apparently knew, the shop assistant told him, - says the client thoughtfully after a long silence. He no longer laughs. The smile fades away, replaced by an expression of sadness.

- I somehow didn't think before why he was waiting for that police car? Why did the mother, with her eternal curiosity, not even come out to ask why the police had come? Why didn't anyone say how it is? Why didn't he ask me. I would say that I did not think I was stealing. The whole evening I did not know why they had taken me away …

There is a long work ahead - to make out this story, understand and accept, cry tears for this boy … And maybe for the first time in many decades to taste chocolate.
