She wore a floor-length floral chiffon dress and a wide-brimmed hat. Short, even petite brunette. With narrow shoulders and hips, she looked more like a teenager. Amber eyes were slightly covered with long bangs. Her narrow, regular features and deep-set eyes added to her a kind of languid sadness, she smelled of mystery, deep philosophical reflections and love of poetry. She was quite attractive in her almost physically palpable melancholy.

At first she "did not know why she had come." She began to speak at once and a lot, abundantly seasoning insignificant details of unimportant plots with twisting details. She talked about a slightly boring monotony of work, older and not understanding colleagues, neighbors with whom she quarreled because of the yard cats that she fed. All this verbal vinaigrette was accompanied by slightly nervous laughter and wide-open eyes.

In the end, tired of her own conversations not about the main thing, after a long pause, she revealed the main reason for the visit: a catastrophic lack of male attention, a complete lack of understanding of the cause of this catastrophe. She said that she thought about it a lot and did not understand "what she was doing wrong" in relationships with men.

For several sessions, she recalled her former short-lived relationships and loves; talked about her parents, from whom she had recently moved to the next doorway and worried about how they were "there" without her now. And yet, in her words, there was a hope that with this move something would change.

Then she endured several sessions, sometimes because of illness, sometimes because of departures, sometimes because of work. In the end, she returned a couple of weeks later with a story about a man she met. The story was quite emotional, there was a timid hope in it that “what if it’s him!”.

And so, in the middle of the story, she falls silent and, with some embarrassment, admits that "she does not know what sounds to make during sex." And how to behave more correctly during it. Because she really likes a man and she does not want to ruin everything at all. Do you understand? Woman. At 35 years old. Doesn't know how to have sex "right" for her. The whole process of getting pleasure was reduced to convulsive listening, looking after the partner.

She lay almost motionless each time, peering into the frenzied eyes of her partner, calculating the correlation between pleasure and the rhythm of his movements. Do you understand? Even in sex, she did nothing for herself, but she was ready with the diligence of a high school student to follow almost any instructions that would show her the "correct" path to her own and partner's pleasure.

She did not know her own body, did not understand what it wanted, did not know how to reciprocate it. She turned him into an instrument of rare someone else's pleasure, reducing her own - to the satisfaction of the physiological need of another.

Most of all she wanted love, but she did not know how to love herself. Fearing her own desires, she indulged strangers, making the usual sacrifice, but in the name of "love".

She was afraid of freedom, because she had never experienced it, submitting to a cold, rejecting mother in anticipation of that very love. She was used to sacrifice, because only in her she saw an opportunity to deserve what she wanted. She was selfless and obedient. But even her own body betrayed her, because it could not keep the "beloved" and give him due pleasure.
