How to find, find an ideal job is a frequent request to me from women who are coming out of maternity leave or have just graduated from an educational institution.

Sometimes you are already working on the perfect job, but you yourself do not know about it.

Sometimes a candidate will change 5-6 places in an employee, but the ideal job cannot be found in any way, it's a shame.

There is one catch - most job seekers are looking for a job by inspiration, inspiration and spontaneously. And in vain, because the search for the perfect job is also work.

When you work your perfect job but keep looking

A young woman, a mother of two kids, approached me with a complaint that she had gone over several places, but could not find a suitable job for herself.

In one place there was a very big responsibility, in another - a bad team, in the third the boss of tyrant. It's not that. In the fourth, they paid little. The fifth job was far from home; the sixth had an uncomfortable schedule.

There is also the 7th - she is working on it now, but she also does not suit her, and that's what to do?

Where to find the perfect job? How to work so that the work is 100% satisfying?

It got to the point that the girl began to blame herself. They say I'm stupid, stupid, irresponsible, they say I'm always unlucky. And in general, life is going downhill.

How to Find the Perfect Job: Finding Criteria

To my reasonable question, what are the criteria for an ideal place of work, a spontaneous one sounded:

  • to pay as much as possible,
  • to like it
  • so that next to the house - to pick up children from the garden.

The answer did not satisfy me and I continued to ask clarifying questions, seeking specific answers from my client to them.

After half an hour of questioning, it turned out that her ideal job meets these 5 criteria:

  1. Communication with people. The client loves to listen to stories from the lives of other people. They inspire her, make her life interesting and fulfilling. A team where she will consider herself equal and her own. Adequate leader.
  2. Free schedule. Rolling schedule. Ideally, if she can shape it herself.
  3. Low level of responsibility. Not high, not average, but possibly low. Because you want to have strength for your interests, children and husband.
  4. Sufficient payment. Ideally, after deducting taxes, $ 50 per hour, so that at least 2-3 thousand dollars comes out in the end.
  5. Low employment. Not 5 days a week, but less. Ideally, 2 times a week, daytime shifts of 12 hours. Again, because not work is a priority, but children who grow up very quickly.

When we started checking her current work in the nursing home, where she is now entering guest profiles into the database, working 10 hours a week, she fits perfectly into 5 criteria for her ideal job.

The manager is a sweet woman who likes my ward and who meets her halfway on the schedule. The team of migrants is ordinary people who value their place and are friendly towards each other.

Retirees who are happy to share their life stories.

You can go to these 10 hours a week for 2 more day shifts for 12 hours, on these days you can take a nanny who will pick up the children from the garden in the evening.

It turns out about 30 hours a week, the work is not difficult. The rate is 30 USD. an hour on her hands - the maximum for her level of experience. Elsewhere, she was offered less for responsible and hard work.

It turns out that $ 3,600 a month is enough for a nanny, and even put off for a trip in which the client dreams of going alone with her husband, as a couple.

Well, working 8 minutes from home is a beauty, one can only dream of. And the dream will come true if you turn to a psychologist in time, for example, the author of this article.
