Why do we love fantasy? They make our life more enjoyable. Where Reality has deprived of size and volume, we come up with a deep inner world and disregard for the canons, behind which our own imperfections look not so frightening and not so frustrating
Where we lack confidence in our own strengths, we come up with a stronger and tenacious image of our own self, supplying it with the necessary sharpness, rudeness and arrogance to cover the exposed nerve of sensitivity. Where one desperately wants to indulge in hedonism, so that only "sex, drugs and rock`n`roll", we begin to play in an exemplary family man, because without this we cannot get a promotion.
As a child, we want to be princesses in a soft pink dress or successful firefighters, because they have a beautiful shape. A little later, we grow up, getting rid of silly children's pictures, and fantasize about how we will save the world or take it over, thinking over our favorite scenario in detail and savoring the taste of victory in advance. Over time, we finally become older and life will certainly plunge us into Reality, which does not always correspond to our childhood ideas about it. We put our dreams in a velvet bag and put them on the far shelf, taking them out only in a dream and continuing to sigh about beauty.
Fantasies make our life easier. This eternal inner faith in an unshakable and necessarily accomplished bright future allows you to do boring work or (oh, gods!) Work under the subordination of childhood friends. Because deep down, you believe that literally tomorrow the same magician will fly in on that very blue helicopter and say: "Vasya, how long have I been looking for you! Here's a galaxy for you, make her destiny!" And then they will all understand how they underestimated you, but it will be too late.
Fantasies make our existence more ideal. In those places where the harsh life does not meet our expectations, we improve it with fiction. Didn't it work out with your childhood dream of conquering an entire continent? Become a despot at work and let your subordinates tremble. Didn't burn out with a good marriage? Convince yourself that this is what you wanted, because independence is cool and in general, many envy your career and freedom. Didn't build your dream business because you screwed up and missed every opportunity because of pride? Continue to say that luck is always not on your side and in this world - all by pull and honest people cannot get through. Haven't you met a fabulous stranger who knew and revealed all the facets of your unusualness? Consider him in another fabulous sociopathic asshole who beat you in public, but he just broke, and in his heart he is gentle and strong at the same time.
Fantasies - our everything, because carrying them in a breast pocket makes it much easier to go through life. Because they make it more colorful and softer. Not so wounding. Not so real. They are the barriers that you put in order not to collide with the Reality, painfully stepping on your heels and from time to time pouring a tub of icy water. Living in a colorful 3D world is much more fun. Just don't expect anyone to be able to truly share this fantasy reality with you. Fantasies - are beautiful in that everything is possible in them. Life is complex. But only in her can you stop being lonely.

Lower Defense Mechanisms Of The Psyche. Part # 3
PRIMITIVE INSULATION Primitive isolation is the lowest defense mechanism of the psyche, which manifests itself in an automatic reaction of the psyche switching to another state. The different types of isolation can be thought of as a continuum from very primitive to very mature forms of defenses that can manifest in virtually anyone in response to current reality.
Projection, Introjection, Projective Identification. Lower Defense Mechanisms Of The Psyche, Part 2
Who has what hurts, he talks about that. PROJECTION \ INTROJECTION According to psychoanalysts, projection and introjection are considered one of the most primitive defense mechanisms. The origins of the formation of projection and introjection go back to early infancy, when the child still cannot separate what is happening inside and what is outside.

Omnipotent control (mystical thinking) It manifests itself in a person's unconscious conviction that he is able to control everything or somehow (even against his will or unconsciously) influence everything that happens around him (sometimes not even with himself).
