What a lazy, bad girl!

It sounds so scary that even a girl who is already over forty will shudder from such a remark.

The world is changing very rapidly. Much of what was forbidden to women 20 or 10 years ago does not raise any questions today.

But laziness is still prohibited!

One friend of mine says that she cannot just lie on the couch and read a book, because she is distracted by the thought that the bathroom has not been washed and the freezer has not been sorted out (and there are many other things that never end).

Even on weekends, many of the women allow themselves to sleep longer, but they still set the alarm. They sleep longer, but not enough. All because there are hundreds of things that must be done.

Another friend of mine told me that she had a diary in which she wrote down all the important things at work. And there was not a single day when she was able to fulfill all of them: simply because there were more of them than her capabilities (I think, even more human capabilities). She scolded herself for being lazy and punished herself with work on the weekend.

And then she was fired. She, like in the film, packed her things in a drawer and left.

And after 5 years, she found that diary and began to re-read all those important tasks that she did not manage to complete. Now she sees how insignificant they were and how little they influenced the result of the work.

Why are we doing this?

Why don't we allow ourselves to rest "without benefit": without reading educational literature or running around the park? Why don't we just allow ourselves to sit on a bench near the lake, not combining it with a trip to the store?

It seems to me that this is a heritage of culture, where thinking people were not needed and even dangerous. Because if you just slow down, give yourself time to reflect, then we will understand and feel what we really want. And this is not convenient for everyone.

Creative people have such a concept as "fruitful doing nothing."

This is an activity that consists in the absence of physical activity. You just lie there and stare at the sky. Or on the water. Or even just a wall. And at this moment wonderful processes take place in your head.

This is the time of the birth of brilliant ideas, insights, thoughts on how to optimize your life, the birth of dreams.

If you really want to be lazy, this is a sure sign that right now or just recently you were doing something that was not yours at all. Laziness is a defense against unnecessary activities.

It is also believed that laziness can appear where there is a fear of something new (fear of trying and failing).

Be that as it may, if you are lazy, then you need to act exactly the opposite.

That is, not to make a volitional effort, but to try to understand what exactly prevents you from starting a movement.

Maybe it's time to take a break?

Or what you are going to do, you personally do not need at all?

Probably, your work is not interesting or boring to you? Or do you see no point in it?

Or are you really worried and overly worried?

I sincerely believe that women are very good at hearing themselves and always know what will be best.

We just need to learn to trust ourselves and our pace.

And laziness is one of the signs that you have taken the wrong speed and in the wrong direction.
