Each of us has a personal internal information filter. It determines what information we pay attention to and, accordingly, what we fill ourselves with.
Have you noticed this: they told you something interesting, inside you felt a response to it, and then you started receiving information on this topic? Either a link to an article on the Internet, or an advertisement for a training or a book, or a friend told something like that. Many people describe such a phenomenon as "the arrival of new knowledge in the human living space." Carl Jung called this "synchronization."
One way or another, in spite of the way we give ourselves an explanation for these events, and the information "rushes" from all sides.
I always say, "what we" meditate "comes to us." In other words, what we focus on, what we constantly think about, what we rely on, we receive confirmation of all this by interacting with information in the world.
For example, a girl is convinced that the role of a woman is so important in family life that everything depends on her. And she finds confirmation of this in numerous articles, trainings, books. She sees all this from her own subjective angle. However, family life is at least 2 adults. The responsibility lies with both. And both should contribute to the relationship equally, though according to their masculine or feminine nature, as well as according to the roles that they occupy in the family.
What is the end result?
Our inner beliefs are a closed system, which includes only what confirms them. All other information can be perceived with aggression and resistance. It takes interest to open this system. You need to open up to other opinions, especially the opposite. Study from what position the information is conveyed.
Everything that we see, read, hear is only an opinion, experience, a certain look. This information helps us to expand the boundaries of ourselves, our worldview, to understand something about our life. We refuse from something, since it does not suit us in this period, but we gladly take something into our life. However, the fact that now does not suit us does not mean that after a while it cannot be relevant for us. We change every day and with every new person in our life, so do not categorically reject something, perhaps it will still come in handy.
The more loyal and flexible we are in our own beliefs, the more diverse information comes to us. The variety and versatility of information helps us to be less categorical and accept the reality of another person and his knowledge. It also helps to accumulate life wisdom and, by combining knowledge, to form something of your own, according to a certain situation.
The way out of the vicious circle is acceptance. Accepting the opinions and thoughts of others. Give them the right to be. If we form and cultivate in ourselves an openness to what others share with us, then we will be able to expand the boundaries of our perception and make it more comprehensive. Thus, our opinion will be less fanatical and eager to impose on others.
And finally, when we prove something, we do it with aggression. When we express our opinion as one of the points of view, we share and show love.
