External independent assessment (OIE) is a relatively new form of examination based on test technologies. This form of exam requires not only good knowledge of the subjects, but also preliminary psychological preparation. The most significant characteristics that are required in the VNO process are: high mobility, switchability; high level of organization of activities; stable performance, a high level of concentration, clarity and structured thinking. Let's talk about psychological preparation for UPE and find out the psychological patterns of such tests with Natalya Leontyevna Kalaytan, Ph. D.

- UPE is not only a test of knowledge, but also a test of psychological stability. What happens in the process IN BUT with the body, our psyche?

- Preparation for UPE is an extremely urgent problem for modern schoolchildren and their parents. All efforts of the student are aimed at additional preparation for testing, while parents try to provide all the necessary conditions in order to help their child overcome this important milestone. However, all these efforts can be in vain if you do not know about the consequences that can lead to the stress that inevitably arises in the situation of UPE. During stress in the human body, the activity of the adrenal cortex, pituitary gland and hypothalamus sharply increases. These structures release into the blood a huge amount of hormones and other active substances to keep the body in good shape. Considering that the student is in a stressful situation not only at the time of the VNO, but also during a long period of preparation and hard work, the nervous system is constantly in an agitated state, which can provoke irritability and insomnia. The very same VNO situation can become the moment when the body can no longer cope with the load and physical and emotional exhaustion begins. Excessive excitement leads to the fact that all the body's efforts are directed to cope with emotional stress. At the same time, the quality and productivity of such cognitive processes as attention, thinking and memory are sharply reduced. So, at the most inopportune moment, the student unexpectedly discovers that he cannot remember even the simplest information that he knew perfectly not long ago, or because of anxiety he cannot concentrate on completing the task and makes the simplest mistake.

- What are the methods of memorizing and assimilating information?

There are many methods and techniques for memorizing information. For example, the methods of mnemonics are popular and effective, which make it possible to memorize various types of information based on building associations. Events and information related to emotions, feelings and associations are best captured in memory. Repeated repetition is more effective after understanding the meaning of the information. Also, information is better remembered if, immediately after memorization, it is applied in practice in a specific activity. It is important to make the learning process interesting and fun, fill it with interesting examples from life. If parents participate as much as possible in the student's learning process, help him understand the material and find interesting examples and associations together, this process will be more fun and effective.

- How to optimally organize the time of a student who is preparing for the delivery of the UPE?

It is important that preparation for testing is systematic and regular. In addition to listening to additional courses or classes with a tutor, special attention should be paid to self-preparation, which should be planned together with the student, taking into account his workload with other activities. Such preparation will be effective only if the student has enough time for good rest. For example, self-study should be given 1, 5-2 hours of time every day, except Sunday. At the same time, it is necessary to make a short break between the main studies at school and self-study, in order for this process to be more effective. In case of violation of this schedule, unused time must be compensated on other days. For productive work during the week, pleasant bonuses can be used as a reward, which will also be a good motivation for regular self-training.

- How to behave during testing in order to pass the test as successfully as possible?

In order for the testing situation to be less stressful, it is important to form the right attitude towards it. And this largely depends on the parents. For example, if parents constantly broadcast to the child the super-significance of this event or, even worse, form the child's fear of failure, then the student will not focus on completing tasks, but on coping with the excitement and avoiding punishment. And in such a situation, a positive result is unlikely.

- What self-regulation techniques exist that will allow you to feel more confident in such a stressful situation as UPE?

Respiratory self-regulation techniques have proven themselves well. They allow you to quickly and effectively reduce anxiety and concentrate on completing tasks. This is the technique of the so-called "square breathing": on the count of four we inhale, on the count of four we hold our breath, then on the count of four we exhale and again on the count of four we pause and hold our breath. In this rhythm, you need to breathe for several minutes. The second technique is based on the principle of the relaxing effect of breathing with a predominance of exhalation. A quick inhalation and a slow exhalation help relieve emotional arousal, relieve pain and discomfort. During such breathing, it is necessary to mentally imagine the movement and tension of the muscles on inhalation, and relaxation on exhalation, mentally directing the breath to the corresponding muscle group. The described techniques can be applied immediately before testing for general relaxation or at the time of an increase in the level of anxiety as an express method for relieving emotional stress.
