Apathy and depression have become her constant companions. From such a life she was constantly nauseous. This state has been for four whole years.

The girl became like the heroine of the story by A. P. Chekhov's "Darling". Lidochka always tried to please Leonid. She literally lived his life. And he was unhappy all the time and constantly criticized her. Lida's life turned into a nightmare. From the very morning she was always in a bad mood. The girl chronically did not get enough sleep. It seems to her that even when she is sleeping her whole body is in good shape and tense. She slept especially badly when Leonid was not at home.

Leonid does not give the care, warmth and attention that she expects from him. As a result, Lidochka is disappointed that Leonid did not live up to her expectations. She feels like a little girl, waiting for attention and that she will definitely be hugged.

Mom and Dad worked hard. The girl grew up alone and was left to herself. When Lida was five years old, her parents divorced. She was going through the divorce very painfully. The world collapsed overnight and, as it seems to her, has not yet recovered. She still lives on its ruins.

It turns out that as a child, dad expected a lot from Lida, but then he said that she did not live up to his expectations. The father imposed his point of view. There was not enough attention from the father. Dad generally wanted a boy, but a girl happened. He was always annoyed about this.

Lidochka worked with a psychologist on this childhood trauma of rejection by her father. After that, she felt that she was able to breathe deeply for the first time in many years and there was a lightness in her body. She even began to feel taller and felt that she was now confidently standing on her feet. The urge to please has suddenly evaporated!

This is an example of how other people's expectations can affect our lives.

Do not carry the burden of other people's expectations with you all your life! Give these expectations to those who put them on you!

After working with a psychologist, Lidochka gained autonomy from Leonid. There was no trace of her love addiction. She is sure that the next relationship will be much more successful precisely because she herself has changed.

How do you feel about the expectations placed on you?
