Traumatic events that happen to us often determine the perception and behavior for later life. Trauma is an overwhelming experience at the time of a traumatic event, a state of loneliness and helplessness. But the most terrible legacy is not that a person survived such an event and received such an experience. The worst thing is the entrenched feeling of powerlessness, which arose at the moment of trauma, and the subsequent feeling of loneliness, when there was no support and help after the trauma.

However, it is a mistake to believe that if you find such an event in your past, healing occurs through awareness of the root cause - insight. The most important thing in dealing with trauma, its events and experiences is not to remember and establish causal relationships, but to gain experience of support and non-loneliness, sincere participation and empathy. Speaking the memory and the feelings associated with it, a person is no longer alone - at this moment he receives the therapist's support, his attention and understanding. That is, the injured part gets in real time what was not there at the moment of the injury. However, in working with traumatics, it happens that not all memories - especially early childhood memories - are stored in an integral form. It happens that only an indistinct passage or bodily memory that cannot be deciphered remains in the memory of an event. The psyche crowds out the event, because the experience was too catastrophic at that moment. It becomes possible to work with such an event either in the language of symbols in a katatimno-imaginative key, or through the body and action.

In fact, living alone, by itself, is not capable of bringing relief - the experience must be transformed. Another important point is very important in trauma therapy. This is to do what I did not do there in that situation. He did not say, did not shout, did not knock …

However, remembering and living alone or in a company with non-professionals is not only ineffective, it is dangerous with repeated retraumatization. A qualified psychologist, psychotherapist will give you the opportunity to feel emotional acceptance, will accept all your rising feelings without being intimidated or rejecting you for your emotions.
