Many clients, at some point in psychotherapy, feel a desire to express gratitude to their therapist in the form of feedback.

Sometimes it happens in the process of psychotherapy, sometimes it happens at the end of the joint work. But, often, they stop, because they do not know how exactly this can be done.

I offer you several sets of questions, answering which you will be able to compose your opinion about working with your psychotherapist from anywhere in your psychotherapy.

The very first and easiest questionwhich you can respond to to provide feedback on your work with a psychotherapist is:

- For what are you grateful to him?

This, indeed, may be quite enough.

The main thing here is to get in touch with your experience and feelings and sincerely respond to it. After all, if you have a desire inside to thank the therapist, you will surely be able to discover and articulate what exactly you are grateful for.

For those who want to do a more thoughtful work, I offer the following list of questions.

This list of questions is about understanding your experience in therapy from a wide variety of perspectives

You can answer them in a row, or rank them in your own way, or choose those that you want to answer and are most interesting:

- What was important to you in your work with a psychotherapist?

- What have you learned while working with a psychotherapist?

- How did you feel next to your psychotherapist? What was new in your feelings? In your thoughts? In your feelings?

- What has changed in your life during your work with a psychotherapist? (Or during and after therapy, if you are reviewing some time after the end of therapy)?

- How did your perception change in the course of psychotherapy?

- How have your thoughts, your thinking changed in the course of therapy?

- How has your lifestyle changed during and after therapy?

- What became possible for you in the course of therapy that was not available before?

- How has your relationship with people changed in the course of psychotherapy?

- How has your attitude towards yourself changed in the course of psychotherapy?

- What did you succeed in your work with a psychotherapist?

- What new experience did you get?

- What difficulties have you encountered in psychotherapy and what allowed you to overcome them?

The answers to these questions will be valuable not only for your psychologist, as feedback on his work, but also for yourself. Since in the process of thinking and writing answers to them, you will increase your awareness and get a fuller perception of all the experiences, changes and results that you acquired during therapy.

The following set of questions is about your perception of the therapist's own qualities

- In your opinion, what qualities of your psychotherapist contributed to your progress and your changes in the process of therapy?

- What qualities or manifestations of the psychotherapist were the most important for you?

- What did (or did not) your psychotherapist work with you that helped you get meaningful changes and results?

- What have you learned from your therapist?

You can also answer all of them in the sequence convenient for you or choose the most interesting ones.

These are, of course, not all the questions that can be answered in order to write a review.

You can come up with your own.

Or just write a review "at the behest of the soul" or "breeze of the heart."

The main thing is to find the opportunity, the way that will help you to express your feelings, impressions, reflections, emotions and feelings from the experience that you received while undergoing psychotherapy with a specific specialist.
