The archetype of Beauty is the key on the path of female individuation, and the formation of a woman is viewed through a series of transformations triggered by this archetype.
In all the variety of female mythological, fairy-tale and biblical subjects, certain common points can be distinguished - the levels of transformation are the main ideas of the female Path - the Fall, Sacrifice and Love.
The main transformation levels are: Virgin - Wife - Mother or Beauty - Beast - Queen (wife)
or Sin - Birth - Death.
A woman's life path is formed during psychological analysis from four stages of maturity, from four archetypal transformations intertwined in the branches of development:
1st branch. Baby, girl - baby
This program can be characterized as the awakening of the Soul, attraction to dreams and constant disappointment. The prince who is waiting for the Sleeping Beauty (she is the unborn Beauty) appears in her dreams in a fabulous form. Non-existent features are attributed to him, feats "in the name of me" are expected; The grandiose self of a child is ready for only one thing - to idealize in order to soon devalue its chosen one. All of these fantasies usually flourish in teenage girls. But women who did not have a warm relationship with their father, they meet at a much more mature age.
The features of this motive (branch) of a woman's development are unreality in the perception of herself and a man, childishness, helplessness, egocentrism, the desire to be dependent, conquered, passive.
The total illusion ("The First Illusion of Love") that a woman overcomes at this stage is waiting for the satisfaction of all her desires - from a man and the inevitable presence of natural gifts and gifts.
The positive result of transformation at this stage is the acceptance of the world as not involved in the existence of any person (not loving or rejecting), accepting oneself as the first person responsible for his life. The result is a positive inner child - playful, curious, joyful, flirtatious.
Negative outcome: A narrow sphere of bodily - sensory being, egocentric consciousness, expectation from the world of a priori love, unborn woman, building a super-negative model of oneself and the world.
Archetype driving negative outcome - Emptiness, Negative Inner Child, Doll.
2nd branch Beauty
The state of awakening in a woman of sensuality, sexuality, spiritual depth. Feeling Beautiful makes it possible to feel like a woman. The adaptation of the body to sensuality is painfully experienced at this moment. It will still take time to receive with the help of the body
desired discharge. At the same time, the man is credited with his own wild erotic fantasies and animal desires (to get only one thing from me). If the search for sexual love becomes a habit, then this is where development stops.
The woman is looking for her Hero and stays with him. In the case of the ban on belief in one's own charm, sensuality is often replaced by the outer façade of the status of a married woman. Her partner, as a rule, is devoid of all heroism. At this stage, the “conservation” of transformation and getting stuck can be expressed by the following options: either “sex bomb” - a woman with an exaggerated sexualized facade, or vice versa “heroine” - a woman who took her Animus (male part) for herself. One - the finitude of bodily pleasures is unknown, the other - their real existence. The turn from the body to feelings and the substitution of soulfulness with sexuality lead to the destruction of other people - men and children. If for the Hero, individuation begins with the awakening of pride, leading him to fight the dragon, then for Beauty, it begins with a sensual awakening leading to a meeting with the Beast, to sacrificing herself to him. In each of these symbolic moments of individuation, together with the loss (of life, virginity), a new quality of I is acquired - in our case, femininity. The beauty, having traversed the path of sin, abstinence and suffering, loses her innocence and purity. But he gets motherhood.
The "Second Illusion of Love", which a woman overcomes at the 2nd stage, consists in debunking the belief that men love only beautiful women and strive only for the body.
In the development of a woman of this period, in addition to the adaptation of the body to the awakened sensuality, a rethinking of the attitude towards oneself and the world is significant. As a result, she gives the aesthetically-biological a certain place in life and is going to move on.
Positive result: a full-fledged and deep bodily-sensory being (vector from feelings to the body), awareness and acceptance of sexuality (instead of fear and control), which is built into the general being of the Soul. The Beauty appears, radiating goodness.
Negative Transformation Outcome: Heroine Archetype or Beast Archetype.
In the first case, a woman is deprived of sexuality, competing with men and hating women.
In the second case - aggressiveness, unbridled sexuality, conflict, careerism.
3rd branch of development: Mother
This moment of transformation is associated not so much with the very fact of becoming a biological mother, but with the appearance and manifestation of truly maternal features of the female Soul: giving, caring, warmth, acceptance. The traits of the Negative Mother, as a shadow version of this archetype, are coldness, detachment, alienation, rejection, conditional love, double bindings. This Archetype is like the Negative Child. The Heroine and the Beast are a dead end in the development of a woman's identity. The typical splitting characteristic of women who deny the presence of negative traits in themselves (and therefore unconsciously exhibit them) is called a “neurotic mother,” referring to neighbors according to the principle - I love it, I hate it.
At this stage, the path to the Positive Mother in feminine identification lies through the recognition and acceptance of the Negative mother in oneself. As a result, a woman becomes capable of natural maternal love, and not necessarily in a biological form. This transformation can be lived no less positively in the role of the Social Mother (creation, self-activation, an initiative mature position in the world)
"The third illusion of love", which a mature woman overcomes and goes beyond, is the understanding that motherly love will not replace love for a man, and that she is not the only lot of female existence. And having created the necessary conditions for children to acquire social autonomy, they will find an opportunity for further development.
The positive result of transformation at this stage: the acquisition of the Depth of being, life-affirming existence, the development of the ahetype of the Great Mother.
Negative Transformation - Negative Mother
4th branch Charismatic woman
Charisma is understood as an internal source of luminescence, a source of spiritual strength aimed at creation, unification, growth and development. To achieve this state, a woman has to suffer and overcome these sufferings, and then the inner Source will be found. If she loses faith, hope and love, she will be doomed to be the Witch, who is the Shadow side of the Charismatic woman. But one should not think that this danger can be avoided by leaving the darkness and turning to the light. With each transformation, the power of the Shadow part of the unconscious will stop more than the previous one, and even greater efforts are needed to keep the source of light in their hands, therefore, it is not necessary to leave the Witch, but to recognize these aspects of your Shadow in yourself. A talented woman who missed the integrated knowledge of the Witch in herself is likely to be her in life.
Achieving a Charismatic woman - opens up the freedom of Creativity and Your Own Path. This moment of transformation is a moment of spiritual transformation.
"The fourth Illusion of Love" is exclusivity, which consists in the fact that the feeling of one's own power tempts: "It is given to me."
