The problem of implementation is relevant for many people. Realization is important, because it fills us with a sense of satisfaction, makes a significant contribution to the sense of the meaning of life, makes it possible, in many ways, to satisfy their spiritual and material needs. But not everyone succeeds in immediately finding their direction or getting into the “stream” when everything is gradually and constructively taking shape. It happens in different ways, sometimes years of "wandering", years of disappointment and fatigue, years of work and effort that never lead to the desired result. What to do? How to realize yourself in such a situation? Can you solve this issue yourself?

Where to start?

Twelve Steps to Realizing Your Potential.

  1. Recognize your implementation problem. Awareness of the problem is the first and important step. When you do not indulge yourself with illusions, but honestly tell yourself about the problem.
  2. Formulate your problem. For example: for three years now I have not been able to realize myself, I made efforts, did what I understand and can do, but the result is not very significant. I really don't know what to do next.
  3. Analyze the causes of this problem. When did the difficulties begin? How many years does it last? What events preceded this? How do I feel, why is all this happening to me?
  4. Feel the impact this issue has on your life. How does this complexity affect different areas of your life: health, relationships, sense of self?
  5. Analyze in detail the existing model of behavior in this matter. How do I normally act? What happens? That does not work? Why am I acting this way? Are there other behaviors available to me?
  6. Expand your horizons in this area: read literature on this topic, listen to lectures, webinars. It is important to expand your feeling and understanding of this issue, enrich yourself with new knowledge.
  7. Inquire about the experience of other people who have had a similar problem. By listening attentively to other people, we can look at our problem from the other side or see in it those aspects that we did not notice before.
  8. Consider new acceptable behaviors. It is important that these behaviors fit your inner self. Because there is no point in trying to inherit, for example, the multitasking behavior pattern if it causes stress and tension for you.
  9. Enlist the support of a person who believes in you and is ready to be, at least partially, a support in this matter. It is advisable to talk about your steps at least once a week, about what happens, what difficulties arise, what plans and, of course, receive support.
  10. Test a new algorithm of actions. When you already roughly understand which algorithm is right for you, try it out.
  11. Make the necessary adjustments to the updated algorithm of actions. See what happens and what causes difficulties. Think about how you can change this in a way that is acceptable to you.
  12. Start to act purposefully! After all, it is actions that lead from point A to point B and further.

The steps outlined above are effective for independent work and may be sufficient to get the desired result if the problem is "not running". If this question has been worrying for a long time (from 3 years or more), then the described steps can partially help, but the most effective and best way in such a situation is to work with a psychologist. The sooner you start, the less time it will take to "heal".

Since when people who have not been able to realize themselves for more than 5-10 years apply, the psychological process lasts at least 1 year. Of course, you can complete the process after feeling the first results, for example, after 3 months, but this will not give the desired feeling of satisfaction, because the request for large-scale self-realization will not be realized.

I am convinced that everyone has their own talent. And I think it is our responsibility to ourselves - to realize our own talent and realize it. An image of a forest appears before your eyes, where beautiful green, mighty trees grow, at the same time, there are small trees nearby, partly with dry branches, which seem to have stopped growing. These "frozen" small trees have potential and they are important for the entire ecosystem of the forest, which needs to awaken their power, grow and fulfill their "higher" tasks.

Be considerate and patient with yourself. "Heal" your psychological blocks, trauma and pain. Don't think that it doesn't matter whether you realize yourself or not. Don't think that you are not important. We are all like one ecosystem. You are important! The development and fulfillment of each person matters. Don't give up and take responsibility for your implementation. And the result will definitely be.
