What to do if you are faced with this?

First, admit that you are in a bad mood. That is, to feel this melancholy and depression. What kind of food, you may be surprised, I wrote above that you should not seize melancholy? My answer is that awareness and concentration on your bodily and mental processes are important here. You need to take time for yourself in order to consciously engage in your feelings. Listen to yourself at every moment of time. Then taking care of yourself will not be avoiding a difficult feeling, but satisfying your needs. The process of conscious focusing on yourself is helped by special breathing: try to inhale slowly and deeply, feeling the lungs fill with air, how the chest and diaphragm work, then exhale slowly. Even 10 of such slow inhalation and exhalation allows you to concentrate on your bodily sensations.

It is important to do some pleasant things for yourself consciously. Rest is important. Melancholy and bad mood can stay in the background, but if there is something that gives pleasure, then it gets better.

Third, prepare your space (home, workplace) for a dark period. If there is not enough sunlight, add bright things that are pleasing to the eye. Find suitable, warming scents.

Fourth, talk to loved ones. This can be the most important and healing. Because of the opportunity to talk and be heard / oh, to meet with understanding and a warm friendly look - it really becomes easier. Even a simple conversation about the fact that you are sad and longing now is very supportive.

Fifth, if you know that you are prone to mood swings, or that a difficult business is coming up soon, which causes stress and decreased mood, then you can prepare for these conditions in advance.

For example, there is such a technique: "Letter to yourself on a rainy day." At that point in life, when it’s not bad yet or the decline in mood is just beginning, you have to sit down and write a letter to yourself. There you can write why, in fact, the upcoming events are needed, what are their benefits (for example, for health, for improving life, etc.). And in general, treat yourself with sympathy in this letter and praise yourself. And when it’s bad, reread this letter.

For psychological self-support, photographs of those moments when it was good and postcards with congratulatory inscriptions from loved ones work.

You can make yourself a special "resource box" and look there. You can make a special folder on your computer with photos and texts, or a special album on social networks. Pick up supportive music and videos.

The very creation of a "resource box" for yourself is a good self-support.

Sixth, do not hesitate to seek professional help. Talking to a psychologist can help you figure out what kind of condition it is. Where did it come from? Maybe for some reason it is needed and plays an important role in life?

If you have been experiencing boredom and fatigue for a long time, then perhaps the best solution would be to see a psychiatrist, as this may be clinical depression. Then the doctor will select medications for you and gradually your condition will get better. There are also endocrinological disorders that cause a decrease in mood, therefore, with a prolonged low mood, you can also be examined by this specialist. I believe that it is better to combine drug treatment with work with a psychologist, since this will promote recovery from both sides. And at the level of biochemical processes of the body, and at the level of adaptation to life circumstances.

It is important to remember that life is a long journey, and on this path there are different stages, stages, "stripes", states. Life is a process in which there is a lot. There is only no way to stop a very good moment and become happy and contented forever. Throughout life, you have to deal with many things, including your longing. And that's okay.
