I wandered around the mall: to look at the images collected on mannequins, and try to catch what these images carry. If I met such a person on the street, what impression would he make on me? I planned not to look at the prices and not to look closely at the quality of the material and tailoring, but it was not always possible.

Here is a rebellious teenager. It seems that he has not yet decided what gender he is. I remember that I was attracted to similar stores at 24. But since then 10 years have passed unnoticed. I still love the protest style. But not in a teenage format. The store, however, is aimed at adults, not teenagers.

Here's a very confused and lost teenager. With some deep confusion and pain inside. This is also an "adult" store.

Here is a young office worker. With artificial life. A beautiful dress from afar, broadcasting "I am fine, I am very friendly and fanny and I can help you solve your problems", made of artificial fabric, as it turns out close, under which everything itches.

Here is a beautiful mature woman. Proudly carrying her femininity and maturity, and not kicking off "I'm a girl, not a woman!" I am glad. I look closer. The material and quality of tailoring make you want to leave and not return.

Here is a claim to originality, from which dazzle in the eyes.

Here's something really similar to personality and depth. But the image is not fully assembled. It would be interesting to see the whole image.

Here are people from an American movie in cozy sweaters with an American smile - I can see American Christmas from the cinema, a fireplace, a family dinner …

Here is a brand where you can be both simple and complex, comfortable for yourself and fun for others. I would be interested in this person. Although he is somewhat out of the ordinary reality.

Here's a stylish mature woman with depth and uniqueness. I look closer - the quality is decent. Hooray!

Here is the confusion man again …

And here is a mannequin-woman aged over 60 in an acid-pink shaggy blouse-bolero, reminiscent of either a 5-year-old girl, or a teenage girl, or a comedy burlesque number …

In many images, femininity in general is cut off as such. The absence of feminine strength, stability, charm is read. Not to mention maturity. It is sad. But still, occasionally there are quite mature female images that have retained their dignity and attractiveness, feminine strength and charm, this pleases.

Of course, people on the streets rarely look like mannequins of any particular brand. We are all multifaceted and we collect more complex and voluminous images in clothes than the stores offer us.

But what do I want to say?

When choosing clothes, you can ask yourself the questions “How would I perceive a person if he was dressed like a mannequin of this brand (that is, in fact: what does this brand carry, what idea)?”, “How does this correlate with me, my essence, my lifestyle?”,“What will this thing reflect in me?”,“What do I want to reflect with the help of clothes?”.

This is a process, this is a search. And I, too, am still in the process of searching. And it seems to me that a little more awareness can make this process more effective.
