For young children, the regime is the basis of education. In the first three years, the performance of the nervous system often changes, thus, the child is in constant physiological stress. Add here the growth of the skeleton, the development of internal organs and the brain, a rich, stormy emotional life, age crises, and we can only wonder how children cope with all this? It is the correct regime that protects the baby from overwork, strengthens health, helps to cope with such a colossal load.

Unfortunately, few of today's parents can boast of following the correct regimen. “But what difference does it make at what time he goes to bed?”, “He’s waiting for dad from work until 11 at night?” I often hear at the reception.

If the baby does not sleep enough, walks a little in the fresh air, his performance decreases, he gets tired quickly, a headache appears, psychosomatics develops. Parents begin to go to hospitals, doctors treat for something incomprehensible, and the matter is often in violation of the regime.

Incorrect upbringing conditions, an unfavorable climate in the family, in combination with a disturbed regime, triggers neurotic processes in the child, that is, deviations in the child's mental health.

What are the symptoms of childhood neurosis?

  • Anxiety
  • Bad dream
  • Lagging physical development
  • Irritability
  • Inappropriate reactions
  • Nervous tics
  • Intestinal colic

Often at a hospital appointment, parents, having spent a lot of money on treating a child, cannot believe that it is enough to restore the daily routine and the symptoms of an incomprehensible illness will go away.

Children become hostages to the psycho-emotional immaturity of adults.

Adequate sleep should be of sufficient duration and depth for age, with precisely set time for going to sleep and waking up.

  • In the first months of life, the child sleeps 20-22 hours
  • 1 year - 16-17 hours
  • 2-3 years - 14-15 hours
  • 4-5 years old - 13 hours
  • 6-7 years old - 12 hours

Any reduction in sleep by at least two hours negatively affects the functional state of the brain. The child's efficiency decreases, the body's resistance to various infections, fatigue quickly sets in. It is worth remembering that children with poor health or recovering from an illness should sleep even more than healthy children.

The delayed consequences of lack of sleep, which appear at 3-4 years of age, are also dangerous:

  • Children with sleep disorders in the first year of life are more aggressive and have more health problems by the age of three
  • Further progression of sleep disturbance
  • Mom has a higher level of depression

It is necessary to teach the child to get up and go to bed at the same time, thereby, the baby develops a conditioned reflex to the time and environment of sleep (dim light, night fairy tale, etc.).

Before going to bed, there should be no active games, computers, phones. Dinner is light, without sweets, chocolate and strong tea. Be sure to ventilate the nursery regardless of rain or snow outside the window. Cool air promotes fast falling asleep and deep sleep.

Daytime sleep for babies under 6 years old should be at least 2 hours, from 12 to 14 or from 13 to 15, this is the recovery time of the body.

Once a young woman, a university lecturer, candidate of sciences, came to see me. She complained of irritability, capriciousness of the child, restless sleep, while she slept with him, violated the regime, constantly pushed the baby away from herself. Her questions were amazing, "but what does he understand?", "Why should I play with him?" Someone strives to become an ideal parent, someone lets children into this world for show, and someone believes in the most terrible stupidity that only motherhood makes a woman out of a woman. And then the child turns from a value into an annoying hindrance. Each parent makes his own choice - to develop and learn new forms of perception of life together with the child, or to enjoy the power and mockery of a defenseless little man.

The daily routine is not the most difficult thing you can teach your baby. All that is required of adults is love and acceptance of their responsibility.

The child's observance of a certain routine teaches him to be organized, makes life easier for him and his parents.

In the future, it will be much easier for a child who observes the regime to adapt to the conditions of the kindergarten.

Approximate daily routine:

07:00 - waking up, washing

08: 00–08: 30 - breakfast

08: 30–09: 30 - time for independent games (drawing, plasticine, construction set) all this can be combined with a background music - children's songs or musical fairy tales, so the child will develop a passive vocabulary. Play classical music every other day, it not only has a beneficial effect on the wave work of the brain, but also develops emotional intelligence.

09: 30-11: 30 - walk

11: 30-12: 00 - returning from a walk, preparing for lunch

12: 00-12: 30 - lunch

12: 30-13: 00 - time of quiet games

13: 00-15: 00 - daytime sleep

15: 00-15: 30 - afternoon tea

15: 30–16: 30 - educational games with mom. If you think that it is better to push your child to a paid child care center, you are deeply mistaken. In joint activities with parents, the personality of the baby receives exactly those impulses that are necessary for its development (the girl takes the feminine and feminine from her mother, the boy from the pope masculine and courageous). Someone else's aunt will not give it.

16: 30-18: 00 - second walk

18: 00-19: 00 - creative development (applications, herbariums, the study of songs, rhymes)

19: 00-19: 30 - dinner

19: 30–20: 30 - water procedures, preparation for bed

20: 30-21: 00- evening fairy tale

21:00 - night sleep
