Fairness vs dismissal

I often observe how a person suffers at an unloved job, or a hard beloved one, but does not dare to leave. Everything hints, provokes him to leave - the salary is not raised, the conditions worsen, the load is crushing, there is no joy in the morning, he wakes up every day - he does not hear the alarm clock, he has not been on vacation for a long time or was, but did not have a rest, and is even confident in his professional competence but … does not go away. Even a resume to write or update - he cannot dare. As if waiting for something.

And he usually waits for a simple thing, which is very rarely uttered out loud - justice.

That the day will come, just about, tomorrow or with a new quarter, a report submitted, a launched project (underline the necessary) or “I’ll go on vacation and then they will understand how they can do it without me” when they will appreciate it. But as a rule, if in the last 3-4 months you have not been "appreciated" - with a bonus, praise, a raise or something else, i.e. have not demonstrated recognition in any way that, in your opinion, is equivalent to your contribution to the common cause - then feel free to quit, or change the department and the leader.

Waiting is pointless, there will be no justice.

The reasons may be different, but if in 3 months the management has not noted your special efforts or talents with praise or gratitude, then your work is taken for granted. And a miracle will not happen.

But you have a choice - to stop waiting for recognition and stop suffering, or change your job to one where you and your efforts will be recognized and accepted with gratitude.

And justice will be restored at the very moment when you will again happily rush to a new job, leaving the entire backpack of expectations and worries to your past leadership.
