But in principle, any person whose behavior and motives are based on manipulation, the ability to make the victim believe in something, lose responsibility and voluntarily surrender into the hands of fortune-tellers, healers, horoscope compilers, loving gigolos and even pseudopsychologists can be called a fraudster. I am often asked how not to fall into the hands of a fraudster, how to be so vigilant to notice him and calculate among his surroundings? To understand this, let's take a closer look at the phenomenon of fraud and its components.

The search for a victim, a client is the identification of a weak link, whose capabilities, income, personal qualities correspond to the intention of the fraudster. Almost 99 percent of them use a very simple trick to deceive - they want to help you, do you well, do a disinterested act, the word "do you good." There is also a downside, when they "need" help. In this case, we voluntarily, without any moral violence, ourselves strive to help them. Especially if a person is brought up on the beliefs "Love thy neighbor."
Organizing and establishing contact. At this stage, the fraudster tries to unobtrusively, accidentally give information, arouse the victim's interest and involve him in joint activities and cause a situation in which the victim himself will rush things and take the initiative. Receiving money or other funds, benefits - as a rule, at this stage, the fraudster prepares ways of escape. This is a premeditated and organized action, depending on the success and failure of the enterprise.
Human qualities from which fraud is born. Fraudsters are considered the elite of the underworld. As a rule, they have high intelligence, are well versed in the subject of psychology, which allows them to easily get acquainted and establish contact with people. They are empathetic, speak, move, listen and act in the way their victim wants. Their well-developed speech can range from literary genre to essential jargon. The main quality of any fraudster is the ability to predict, wait patiently and carefully calculate everything to the smallest detail.
Psychological features of fraudulent consciousness. In general, the psychology of fraud is based on two qualities: stealing and deceit. Hence, all the other features of fraudulent behavior follow: selfishness, cunning, indifference, cynicism, callousness, superiority over weak people. The psychological features of a fraudulent consciousness are, first of all, high anxiety, suspicion, mobilization and dynamism of consciousness, which helps the criminal to quickly navigate the situation. They obey the general attitude to get what they want in any way, to satisfy their sick self-esteem, to get profit, to feel superiority over the victim, to experience "adrenaline" and "thrill".
How to recognize a fraudster? Despite understanding and studying this phenomenon, we have practically no chance of avoiding the actions of fraudsters, because they do not obey healthy human logic. And yet, there are a few things that you should always pay attention to.
1. First of all, it is necessary to part with the illusions according to which you can interest a fraudster, simply as a person, and not as a resource from which you can get something. Be vigilant and critical, observe only your own benefit and convenience.
2. Pay attention to the peculiarities of their behavior: they try to communicate in uncrowded places, their voice is quiet and insinuating. The swindler can be betrayed by his gestures: they often touch the face, cover their mouth, eyes, hair with their hand, and straighten their collar. With strong excitement, their pupils are narrowed, their gaze becomes slippery, restless and constantly looking around. They ask for confidentiality. Scammers do not argue or make logical arguments. At the same time, they are forcing a quick decision so as not to miss the chance. There are a lot of emotional arguments and very few numbers in their beliefs. When it comes to financial affairs, it is worth remembering that real business is based on a whole system. In a fraudulent scheme, everything is often tied to a "one man" who will solve all your questions. Fully prepaid, of course! They only operate in cash, as bank cards leave traces.
3. Please do not forget the sacramental expression: "Free cheese only comes in a mousetrap"
By the way, not only naive pensioners, greedy inhabitants, who were promised mountains of gold and single women, become victims of fraud. They deceive everyone, regardless of gender and age, educational level and social status. You are in danger as long as you argue self-confidently: "You definitely won't fool me!" If you nevertheless become a victim of fraudsters, you should not be ashamed and suppressed, it is better to cast aside false pride and stubbornness, accept this fact, calculate the losses, report to the police if this will correct the situation, draw conclusions, learn a lesson and enjoy life further!
