All losing weight and dieters constantly struggle with hunger, considering it their worst enemy.
All overeating people struggle with feelings of oversaturation in order to eat another delicious bite.
People with normal eating behavior calmly respond to signals from their body and satisfy them.
Why is it harmful to fight hunger and satiety?
Eating researchers from Canada Janet Polivi and Peter Herman have shown that dieters are depressed hunger and satiety.
The milk-shake experiment involved people who eat normally and those who are used to limiting themselves.
Each of these groups was divided into three more subgroups.
The first was given two milkshakes, the second one, the third was given nothing.
Then all the participants were asked to compare the flavors of ice cream.
They could eat as much as they wanted.
As a result, people who eat normally ate more ice cream, the more cocktails they drank.
People who limit themselves in food - exactly the opposite!
Why?
If you've ever been on a diet, you know the answer!
If you endure for a long time, and then suddenly break the regime, then it is impossible to stop! And you eat as much as you can, ignoring the satiety.
And why is it harmful to ignore satiety and hunger?
Because they are natural and important dietary regulators, without which a person falls into a vicious circle of diets and breakdowns.
What to do? Is there everything? How to build without losing health?
First of all, stop asking questions:
What is?
When not to eat?
How many harmful products can you eat?
And ask yourself another question:
Why slender people can focus on their feelings and not gain weight, but I can't?..
The vicious circle of overeating: overeat - scolded himself out of habit - felt guilty - went to seize her.
What if you stop scolding yourself? You can break this circle by replacing this inner voice with a caring and loving one.
Then overeating will become conscious, it will not be accompanied by a sense of guilt, and it will be possible to stop it.
We are used to suppressing our bodily manifestations.
- You need to eat on time in order to prevent hunger, otherwise you will break loose.
- It's a shame to eat next to those who expect you to lose weight.
- You need to eat now, otherwise the food will go bad / there will be no more such delicacies / then there will be no time to eat.
As a result, the feelings of hunger and satiety necessary for normal eating behavior are suppressed.
We are used to rushing so as not to waste time. And we don't have time to enjoy our food and feel full on time.
And finally, we are used to dividing food into harmful and healthy, and to limit ourselves to harmful, and sometimes useful too. We believe it's right to eat chicken breast and salad when you crave nuts or ice cream.
Not surprisingly, breakdowns occur after diets, and the tougher the diet, the stronger the breakdown.
If you treat your body and its manifestations as an unwanted child who needs to be corrected and educated, you find yourself in a vicious circle of overeating. The body suffers, and then it goes all out.
If you become a caring and loving parent for your body, listen to it and satisfy its needs, it will relax and calm down. And it won't require that much food.
