As a person who has worked as a freelancer for 10 years and spent 2 years in isolation, I have the moral right to advise. I do not pretend to be the ultimate truth, but it works for me.

Moving to a remote location - especially if you are not used to it - is difficult. It only seems that you will get enough sleep and imposingly drink coffee to your favorite music. In fact, you will have to cook more, clean more and, oddly enough, spend more time at work - because everyone who is not lazy will be distracted by trifles. It is much more difficult to "drop" the mother sitting in front of her than calling her. Excuses like "I'm in a meeting" don't work, and you have to constantly prove that although you are physically at home, in reality you are "not." It is difficult to work in such conditions. And when the whole family hangs out in quarantine, "difficult" turns into "impossible."

What can be done:

1. Observe the regime. They won't let you sleep until noon anyway, and at home time runs much faster and is often wasted irrationally.

2 Separate work and household chores. Cutting a salad while talking to a client is a bad idea - proven.

3. Provide yourself with an isolated workplace - even on the balcony - if only the door is closed.

4. Don't eat at the computer! It is important to divide the day into intervals, ventilate and let your eyes rest. And be sure to finish work on time. Just slam the laptop lid and walk away. Turn off the phone, put messengers in silent mode. Because otherwise you can work around the clock - this process never ends at home.

5. Start all processes that do not require constant presence in advance: turn on the washer and dishwasher, put the meat in the oven, set the timer on the multicooker, defrost the chicken and let the robot vacuum cleaner go for a walk. Well, yes, you can make your life a lot easier if you leave your routine at the mercy of gadgets.

6. An excellent life hack - to keep everyone busy before starting their studies: to put cartoons for kids, and an exciting lecture for older children. Lure mom into the far corner with an old show from the State Television and Radio collection or a virtual tour of the Louvre. Asking your husband (if he doesn't have a job of his own) to disassemble old gadgets or tools - believe me, this can be done endlessly. And be sure to add food and water to all pets, including children. If there is a dog in the house, take a walk in the morning properly - physical activity and fresh air will give vigor, and the pet will bother everyone less during the day.

7. Free up time for privacy. Don't drag gadgets and work chats to bed. If desk sex can still look attractive, then the bed is best left for sleep, love, and vice, rather than quarterly reports.

8. Spend time with family. Watching movies, reading books, sculpting, painting, walking. All the time that was previously consumed by the road to work, now you can devote with a clear conscience to your beloved people.

9. Do not forget about yourself. It is not necessary to wear makeup, but sitting all day in pajamas and with a dirty head is definitely not an option. First, it is not conducive to productive work. Secondly, there are mirrors in the house. Do not spoil your mood once again.

10. Sports. Even if it didn't work before. One minute in the plank will make your back firmer and your belly flatter. Well, then, with physical exertion, serotonin is produced. This is not a substance to be thrown around - especially during quarantine.

Be healthy and stay calm.
