Every person, both in kindergarten and at school and at universities, was taught to bathe in the skill necessary for all these institutions, this is a skill that should be in life, but if your presence in it is permanent, it becomes a difficulty for you. This was taught to everyone not only in universities, of course it was encouraged and reinforced in the overwhelming majority at home.

This skill is called reasoning. Looking at the word itself, it can be called rational judgment. Or judgment from reason. This is when you start talking about words with words that are not supported by experience, your own research, or your own direct experiment. Speaking with words about words - you literally abide as words, become words.

Having no experience, you try to imitate experience with words, predict, reproduce, extrapolating words to life, in the hope that words are able to touch life and somehow feel it and certainly convey it. Although at this moment it seems to you that you are arguing, of course, not about words, but about something real and quite real. Only it is not so. And all this is done unconditionally with a serious face, an intelligent look and an indescribable touch of significance. Most people who call themselves adults are stuck tightly in this phenomenon, in this verbal looking glass for the rest of their lives. The story about Alice through the looking glass, the story about the Genie in the lamp, the story about the hero who slept through a significant part of his life on the stove - this is exactly what.

This phenomenon itself, this skill itself is incredibly simple and arises in any child at the right time instantly. You don't need to train this skill. Encourage, consolidate, strengthen - too. It is formed automatically at a certain moment by itself, like walking or speaking.

And if over time the most ordinary person living on the planet will nevertheless become a little more conscious and sensitive, a little more attentive to himself, more sincere not with someone, but first of all with himself, then after a while, looking back at how and what people lived in our time, a person will be amazed - to live by reason, to live bathing in reasoning is as stupid as it was stupid some 100 years ago to be treated with radiation or heroin tincture, to assert about racial and species the advantages of some people over others, confirming this with well-adjusted "scientific" conclusions, or how 200-300 years ago it was customary to swaddle newborn children tightly so that they would not be "possessed by demons", or in medieval Europe it was considered dangerous and harmful to wash, and lice and fleas were considered “pearls of God” - a sign of holiness. Exactly the same amount of absurd and stupid people live now, living most of the time by reason, in thinking. And literally not knowing, and sometimes even denying the possibility of life, not only thinking, reasoning, constantly thinking, but also free from thoughts.

Every person needs the opportunity to at least sometimes be in life without thoughts, free from their own reason. Now such a statement quite possibly sounds at least strange and incomprehensible. The call to take water procedures would sound just as strange and incomprehensible in the Middle Ages. But exactly the same number of phenomena of an unhygienic life, and life in thoughts are similar🙊

Someone now lives freely without taking a shower or bath for weeks, not because of the lack of such an opportunity, because there are undoubtedly certain circumstances in which the possibility of your daily hygiene is limited, just someone feels fine without brushing their teeth, or changing clothes and underwear every 2-3-4-5 days or more. And for some, this is normal. It's not about them. We are talking about you, those for whom the reasonableness of their own hygiene is not in doubt. And sometimes it is a concern not only about your own comfort, but also about the comfort of the people around you. After all, the subtleties of the changes in your own physiology that occur over time, up to a certain point, may be quite comfortable and acceptable for yourself, but not for those around you.

Many have learned to live with the awareness of the importance of their own physical hygiene. But, unfortunately, it is still a very rare person who realizes the importance of their own mental hygiene. A person does not know how to "brush the teeth" of his own mind, or "wash the armpits" of his own mind, and, unfortunately, does not even suspect how important it is and how much the lack of such sensitivity to their own mental processes leads, without exception, each person to quite tangible difficulties, inevitable problems, depression, loss of strength, lack of joy in life, taste for life, loss of meaning and many other ailments. Or vice versa - to omniscience, a sense of one's own greatness, superiority, to endless attempts at self-designation and self-affirmation, to disputes, to a feeling of righteousness, to the fear of losing righteousness, and at the same time to a regular feeling of hurt and vulnerability.

And it is precisely the lack of the skill of one's own mental hygiene, the lack of understanding what “my thought”, “my opinion”, “my mind”, “my life” and “I” in general are, that lead one person to a psychiatrist, another to a psychologist, a third to to a coach, the fourth to a spiritual leader, the fifth to a sorceress grandmother, and the sixth to a local shaman.

And I do not think at all that any of the above statuses of a person is a priori more competent, and some on the contrary. Competence is not determined by status, paper or seal. Each specific person can be either more competent or less. In order for something to work, it is not at all necessary to understand the mechanism, the phenomenology of this work. On the contrary, understanding often takes away from you the opportunity to plunge into what you simply need to plunge into. It seems that by understanding the mechanism, you are able to distinguish grains from chaff, it seems that understanding the mechanism, you are able to save yourself from deception and error. Knowledge gives you that kind of faith by taking away from you what is before faith. Both modern society and modern man, as a product of this society, have almost lost the possibility of trusting what he does not understand, but the possibility of such trust is still there.

Let's get back to hygiene.

Mental hygiene is what everyone needs. And to a certain extent, it can be argued that the importance of this is even more significant than the importance of physical hygiene. But why does a person still do not understand this, have not yet learned this: to pay their own attention, their own time to the hygiene of the mind? The fact is that the lack of physical hygiene leads to some consequences, depending on the duration and diligence: it can be smell, your appearance, various itching, and over time, as some sources describe, the craving not only for a variety of bacteria to populate your home, but also larger representatives of the animal world. That is, putting your own body in neglect, you will soon begin not only to notice, but also to feel some signs, and here you are able to connect cause and effect, at least almost every person, I hope, is capable of this. In order to impartially connect cause and effect, your mind will need both a certain sharpness and a certain detachment, and plus to this - a certain flexibility, sensitivity. Without this, you will not be able to connect cause and effect, no matter how hard you try, you will draw false conclusions, maybe beautiful, but false.

Get to the point. A person still does not see the connection between his mental activity and what he is experiencing. 90% of the world's population still do not see a direct connection between their own mental activity and those states in life that they experience permanently. I claim that this can be learned. I also argue that it is not easy, and it will require a certain amount of work from you, a certain courage, a certain willingness to know yourself and often discover the most unpleasant things. And the help of someone who is able to help you here is just as important and relevant as the help of the dentist you turn to when you notice some difficulties or problems with the oral cavity.

Now, something like a conclusion

Yes, it is quite possible to exist without the hygiene of your own mind, yes, your body will not die and will fully adapt, it will exist, yes, no punishment awaits anyone for this - it is not forbidden by the law to live strongly and permanently thinking. But how pleasant and easy such a feeling of life is is a good question. And without comparison, without trial, without experiment - without researching, without feeling, one cannot do here. Your only guideline here is - can you say that your life is COMPLETELY complete, can you say that your life is COMPLETELY happy? Are you and your life, without a single aspiration on your part, an example for others? Have you risen above all your own vices, difficulties, problems, sufferings and have you discovered the possibility of existing outside of all this? Have you found the Holy Grail, Samobranka Tablecloth, Scarlet Flower, Ala ad-Din Lamp?

And if it suddenly turns out that no, if it suddenly turns out that you are still qualitatively unfamiliar with life out of reason, then you have only a couple of options: to assert that this is how you need to live, that you live correctly, reasonably and it’s good and there is no other way, or all the same, start learning to live differently. After all, I affirm that it is not only possible to live differently, but also pleasant, incomparably more pleasant than to live only as everyone already knows how.

The time has come for a person not to look at the authorities of different names and ranks, not only at the level of reasoning to finally know whether he really exists only when he thinks?

And if you are open to such knowledge, you are on the right path - and life will please you everywhere. You will certainly meet people and circumstances that will help you. Difficulties will also be, but you can easily cope with them, continuing to discover in yourself what you could never even dream of.
