Live in the Present

You can only experience pleasure in the present. Remember the words of the Soviet song: “There is only a MIG between the past and the future. It is he who is called Life. " The wise turtle from the Kung Fu Panda cartoon echoes: “The past is forgotten, the future is closed. And the present is granted."

After all, what happened in the past was relevant then. And what will happen in the future will be relevant when it happens.

Most people at times are half “here”, as if awake, lose the thread of what is happening and slip away from the situation in the present.

Try to be "here and now" completely. Let's do an exercise: “Take a candy, put it in your mouth, close your eyes, throw away your old thoughts and focus on the pleasure you receive. Slow down the process to heighten the feeling of pleasure. Savor every bite. Let the aroma of this magic candy fill your mouth, let every tiny taste bud of your tongue enjoy a fabulous taste. Let this sensation drive you almost to ecstasy. Feel how every cell of your body is enjoying this moment. Develop a sense of contentment in yourself. Don't throw the feeling of pleasure into the past and see what happens next. And then you will feel such complete satisfaction and pleasure and feel the fullness and completeness of sensations."

Stay in the Present - only the Present is nourishing!

The past is the future. All that you have is the Present

Feelings and Attention help you immerse yourself in the present.

To enhance the relevance, we will do a gestalt exercise:

“For five minutes, mentally make up phrases that express what you at the moment Realize-Notice-Feel.

- No need to fantasize or think about something. Find yourself fully in the present. Make up phrases only about what exists in reality at a given second.

- Begin each sentence with the words "now", "this moment", "here and now."

- When you get bored or bored - continue the exercise until the allotted time is up.

For example: “Now fingers are tapping on the keyboard. I can hear the computer block humming. I sit in a soft, comfortable chair. Here and now I feel warm and comfortable. Although at this moment I feel tension in the shoulder region. Right now I feel that I am tired and want to eat …"

When we are in the present, we notice the sensations of the body and the feelings of the soul. We see a complete picture of reality inside and outside.

Suppose I am used to thinking a lot. I give preference to thoughts and fantasies, but I do not notice the signs of the body. And I won't hear the subtle bells of the body that warn of sickness. And I will only notice the loud bell ringing of a serious illness.

Staying in the present will help you stay in touch with yourself and your reality.

Do the exercises and share your findings.
