Do you know the well-established phrase “to conquer your laziness”? Before, I never thought about it, but today I clearly realized that the message of this phrase is fundamentally wrong. Let me explain why. We all get lazy sometimes. Some are more, some are less. Someone is lazy in some certain areas of life, someone - at a certain time of the day, and someone - exclusively next to certain people. And often people, at the same time with laziness, feel ashamed for her: “Well, why, I must be a tireless energizer and plow, plow, plow for the good of a brighter future!”, “I must always want to work or develop, improve my life, work on relationships, tidying up the house, and so on. And if I do not do it on time, and even with joy, then this is all lousy laziness. And now I think, don't you want a lot from yourself? Is it real at all - not to be lazy? Not to feel reluctance to do supposedly necessary and useful things? And is it really possible to defeat your laziness?

I am convinced that it is not necessary to be lazy to win. You need to listen to her, then agree with her, and ideally make friends. Because laziness is a wise part of our psyche that is trying to tell us something. And we do not listen to her, but we fight and curse. What can laziness tell us?

First, are you on the right path, comrades ?! If getting to work brings you real torment day after day, then maybe this is not the kind of job where you could realize your potential to the maximum? I understand that a lot of people work at jobs they don't like, but that doesn't mean that it should be so. If you are too lazy to go to meet friends, then maybe not everything suits you in such a friendship? I think the examples are clear. If this is about you, then the life situation needs to be comprehended and changed.

Secondly, are you getting enough quality rest? Often, laziness is a frank signal from the body that it is very tired. Tired and bored. And so I turned on the power saving mode. And then it suddenly becomes very lazy to do things that you used to do with pleasure. Too lazy to think of something interesting to cook for dinner. Too lazy to go outside once again. Too lazy to write another post on the social network. Too lazy to bring something new to your favorite work. Spare yourself and plan regular quality vacations. You need to stock up on resources. A quality rest is not a whole weekend to lie at home and watch TV series. This is to do what I wanted for a long time and that will bring a lot of positive emotions. Go somewhere, visit an interesting place, try to do something new.

Third, laziness can be confused with depression. If you feel low in mood, fatigue, or sleep problems, read about the signs of depression and see your doctor.

Laziness is not our enemy. She protects us, takes care of us, tells us how it will be better for us. With laziness, you need to be able to negotiate. “Dear laziness, I understand that I am very tired and I need to rest. But if I don't finish my work today, the consequences will be very unpleasant. Let us press a little more, and tomorrow, I promise, I will delight myself with a trip to the cinema, which I have been putting off for so long."

Is it worth fighting laziness and dreaming of defeating it? No. Is it worth it to follow her lead and just do nothing, because laziness told her to? Also no. You need to decipher her message and learn to negotiate with her so that it is good for both you and her. I wish you learn to listen to soy laziness!
