The question is - will you succeed in something like that? The answer is - if you try in the right direction, then yes! After all, in order to get tired qualitatively, great efforts are not required. It is enough to use 5 proven strategies.

Strategy 1. Persistently monitor your condition in idle mode

"Idle mode" is when you understand, realize that you are lousy, but at the same time do not actually try to do anything. A kind of sticking to a certain realized fact. It is enough just to think, as if internally enumerating what was hard for you, what was difficult for you, how much energy you spent and why you feel so bad at the moment.

Strategy 2. Exaggerate your condition, catastrophization.

Everyone knows how to embellish. But some are good at embellishing all the time. Not yourself and your achievements. Namely, that their tension and suffering. Somewhere it (suffering) can be magnified, somewhere you can find a feeling of hopelessness, somewhere you can cut yourself off from the opportunity to think about a bright future. Or just use words like “nightmare”, “horror”, “unbearable” and other similar bright labels.

Strategy 3. Compare your condition

You can compare as you like, the main thing is to do it in the negative of the current state of affairs. You can compare your current state with what it was before (when it was better). You can compare your condition with other people (this is especially “promising” if people are very successful). You can compare your state with what it could be or should be.

Strategy 4. Routine activities without trying to enjoy / get carried away

Many people (I think you too) know how to do a routine. You may not like this, you may be irritated, tense, use your will and, in the end, cope. And such a strong-willed mechanism for overcoming the routine, like butter on bread, falls into the piggy bank of accumulated fatigue. Indeed, at the level of consciousness, such a life flows in the same way, gray and heavy. And for a long time. And yet this end and edge is not visible. A sort of permanent sword of Damocles.

Strategy 5. Limited rest

Rest helps to remove the feeling of fatigue. And rest is a change in the type of activity. And then, when you consistently use the same rest, it inevitably becomes a new routine, which, if it gives some kind of outlet, then not for long. Or, in general, it contributes to the fact that you plunge into some kind of permanent chronic fatigue.

What strategy do you use to get really tired?
