Probably everyone knows such a funny character as the parrot Kesha, invented by Alexander Kurlyandsky and brilliantly voiced by Gennady Khazanov in the cartoon of the same name.
Kesha can be safely attributed to a hysterical or theatrical personality.
What traits in Kesha's character can we note?
1. Expressive, lively behavior. 2. Striving to attract attention at any cost. 3. Theatricality. 4. Manipulativeness. 5. Scandalousness, rebellious, quarrelsome disposition. 6. Capriciousness, egocentrism. 7. Elements of narcissism.
Kesha is an African parrot living with the boy Vova.
From the very first minutes of the cartoon, it becomes clear who is in charge in the house. As Kesha himself thinks to himself: "Vovka carries me in his arms."
Indeed, the parrot appears before us as a manipulator who wants to live for his own pleasure and often broadcasts the behavior of a capricious child.
Vovka's patience can be envied. The boy tries to be a caring and responsible parent for Kesha. He learned to recognize the manipulations of a cunning parrot and expose them.
So, for example, when Vovka does not want to follow Kesha's lead, Kesha grabs his heart and stage faints with exclamations: "I feel bad! Water!", threatens suicide or demonstratively leaves the house with the words that he once heard on TV: "Goodbye, our meeting was a mistake!"
When Vovka is busy with business and does not pay attention to him for a long time, Kesha can listen to the TV loudly and interfere with the boy in one way or another.
When Kesha leaves his father's house, he begins to feel sorry for himself and blame others for everything. Kesha enjoys his revenge, his departure, expecting that Vovka will worry and look for him. Sitting on a branch, Kesha says: "You will cry at me! I'll show you!" This shows his egocentrism, lack of empathy, superficial attachment. In this case, the parrot thinks only about himself and his revenge, and not about what feelings his act will cause in his loved ones.
Kesha often idealizes strangers, thinking that with someone his life will be better than with Vovka. However, everyday troubles, into which he is drawn because of his quarrelsome disposition, prove to him the opposite, that no one will love him like Vovka.
It is not uncommon for Vovka to feel guilty towards Kesha. So, for example, Kesha sees how the neighbor's cat leaves to the south, but he cannot go anywhere, since Vovka is sick. But even in this situation, the parrot thinks not about Vovka, but about himself. He reproaches the boy: "I found it when to get sick! Everyone has the sea, the sun … and only I am in the realm of hot concrete and hot asphalt!"
Vovka, feeling guilty for his illness, also tries to console Kesha, assuring them that they will definitely go, but not now.
Then Kesha begins to throw up a scandal that he has nothing to wear.
In general, Kesha definitely does not let Vovka get bored, provoking him to pay attention to his person by throwing tantrums or showing symptoms of the disease.
Also for Kesha, public recognition is very important and for the sake of its goal the parrot is ready to go for deception, over the heads and for other desperate actions, often overestimating its capabilities, with the words: "They'll know about me, they'll talk about me!"
The whirlpool of life's troubles returns Kesha's self-esteem to reality, and for some time a "romantic" period ensues between him and Vovka.
