"You left May with a flying gait", - Yu. Antonov sang) Is an image being created? Undoubtedly. And if you replace "flying" with a verb. She flies.

And you can drag your feet. Mince. To chapat To comb. Write out. Trample. Steal. Shuffling as if it were scary to get off the ground. Waddle. Coin step. To step with an air of importance. Slide. Wag. Rush. Coward. To waddle.

Try to depict walking through these verbs. What verbs would you call the gait of your friends, relatives, colleagues? How do you walk yourself?

In the first year of theater, we had an exercise - observation: we had to notice the gait of different people on the street - of different ages, gender, and then, in the classroom, repeat it as organically as possible. I couldn't do it. I kind of imitated technically (while clinging to obvious features - limping, some obvious oddities), but it was flat, feigned, not about a living person. Until I realized that I do not find these very verbs, behind which the essence is the character, WHO is this person, his mental characteristics, state. Moreover, you need to capture the whole image. Not at the expense of showing the external, but at the expense of "penetrating into its internal plastic".

I continue this about the connection between the mental and the physical. And vice versa. About their continuity and flow. Try to observe how many variants of your gait you have. Can you be variable here, in context - write out, walk or rush? You can ask your loved ones how they see and describe your walk. How do you like that?)

The gait is not just the legs, it is the whole body. Whether the top and bottom are harmonious, whether it is relaxed, what the hands are doing. What problems, features, perhaps, you can see by watching how you walk. And others. And try it with your feet, it's better than just reading.

I hope I inspired you)

And in the photo I have been drinking for about six hours, probably in the high Himalayas. I literally press myself into the ground, fall on sticks, then on one, then on the second, looking for support. I'm so tired that I can't even get angry that I got involved) Well, I'm a little proud)
