What is your body hurting about and what does it want to tell you?
The body is a cheat sheet of our inner and physical state, it is the place where we put all our feelings and experiences that caused pain and confusion, fears that we cannot fight back, anger that can be directed, both at others, and to myself. If you listen to your body, it will always tell you what you need to do in difficult times and will find the best way to restore your mental and physical condition.
HOW IT WORKS? We have all heard the saying: "All diseases are from the nerves." This is true! The science that studies the occurrence of diseases that appear as a result of the interaction of mental and physiological factors is psychosomatics.
The mechanism of disease formation works as follows: any disease is a reaction to overload. When a person is deprived of the opportunity to openly declare their emotions and feelings, then the nervous system is in a state of heightened excitement for a long time. As a result of this tension, disturbances in internal balance (homeostasis) occur.
In response to this situation, our body releases a dose of hormones, such as kartisol, adrenaline and norepinephrine, the level of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood serum increases. There is an effect on the thyroid and other endocrine glands, as a result of the state of immunity worsens and we start to get sick. For example, if you often experience the emotion of anger, then you overproduce the hormone norepinephrine, which is responsible for energy, motivation for action, alertness, concentration, and concentration. But, if it exceeds the limits of the norm, then you may have problems with vision, hearing, teeth, diseases such as hypertension, migraine, and liver problems may occur. Thus, your psyche simply turns on a defense mechanism in order not to go crazy: "Since I cannot express what I feel now, I do not want to see, hear or think about what is happening around." This algorithm works with absolutely all emotions. Therefore, if you often suffer from a certain disease, then think about what you feel the most and what your body is trying to tell you. Maybe you need to take a break and rest, or allow yourself something that you have been banning for so long. Now I want to offer you a couple of techniques that can help you cope with illness and a drooping emotional state.
EXAMPLES OF TECHNIQUES:
1. If we already understand that emotions are associated with hormones, then we can influence them primarily through nutrition. If we reduce the consumption of sugar and eat more vegetables, meat, fish, eggs, then our nervous system is more stabilized, since there are no special surges in insulin that affects our mood.
2. We use techniques to help you relax. These include breathing and relaxation techniques, a positive internal monologue (self-hypnosis), a rational explanation of the current situation and the search for arguments in their favor: "I can solve this problem, I can be proud of myself." Autogenic training, meditation, yoga, massage and active physical activity have a good effect.
3. "The most dangerous emotion is the unreacted emotion."
As we already know, prolonged experience of negative emotions is harmful to health, but holding back and suppressing your emotions for a long time turns out to be no less harmful to your health! Therefore, we need to verbalize these emotions. How can I do that? You can keep a diary of emotions, where you will describe everything that happens to you, you can express anger, resentment, fears in it, or register a dialogue for which you cannot muster the courage and end it the way you would like it. however, you can take dishes or paper and imagine that it is all your resentment or anger and break or burn it so that your drooping state will come to an end.
What is all this for? If you want your life to be full of colors and aromas, to feel it all 100%, then you need to get rid of the old. "A vase of rancid water will not smell like fresh flowers!" Let's let our body live harmoniously and happily with our souls !!!
