Very often, the help of a psychologist is compared to the work of a general practitioner - he will write a prescription and everything will work out, someone with the work of a surgeon will cut off the patient so that he does not bother. Consulting a psychologist is often compared to a confession from a priest. Once a client told me that "you, psychologists, are like political officers in the Soviet army." I also heard a not very euphonious comparison that "a psychologist is a crutch, supports as long as necessary."
They also compare it with a hairdresser or with a nail designer, but that's another story and is more concerned with the question - "what does the psychologist get money for?"
Recently I read a parable, it explains in the best possible way what the work of a psychologist is like.
One day the Master took his disciple to a park located at the foot of the mountain. The park was a complex labyrinth with very high and smooth walls. There was no roof at the labyrinth, and its passages were illuminated by sunlight.
The teacher led the student to the entrance to the labyrinth and told him to find the way out. The disciple wandered in the labyrinth all day and all night, but time after time he invariably came to a dead end. … Desperate to get out, he fell to the ground and fell asleep. Feeling someone shaking his shoulder, the student opened his eyes. The Teacher stood over him. “Follow me,” he said. The apprentice, ashamed that he had not completed the assignment, followed him. Coming out of the labyrinth, the Teacher, without turning around, began to climb the mountain. Climbing to the top, he ordered: - Look down! From the place where they stood, the labyrinth was visible at a glance. - Looking from here, can you find the path leading to the exit from the maze? - asked the Teacher. “It's not difficult,” the student said. - You just need to look closely. - Find it and remember it well, - ordered the Teacher. After a while they descended from the mountain, the student entered the labyrinth and confidently passed it, never straying or getting lost. “The lesson you received today concerns one of the main secrets of the Art of Living,” the Teacher said, meeting the student at the exit. - The further you move away from the situation, the higher you rise above it, the larger the surface covers your gaze, the easier it is to find the right solution.
The only inconsistency, in my opinion, is that a person himself falls into this labyrinth, and his walls can be not only smooth, but also sharp and uneven, and even dirty and slippery.

Life Is Like A Game, Game Is Like Life
The game is a state of life, it is an eternal choice, guessing, odd or even, pan or lost . We played as children, and without realizing it we dragged our need to play into adulthood. While playing adult games, we act out our childhood scenarios, unconsciously trying to get what we most lack for our integrity and satisfaction.
