What is the difference between being employed, i.e. on "uncle" and on yourself? This difference is significant.

Working for “someone” you avoid direct responsibility. This “someone” takes on the burden and burden of responsibility for solving various organizational tasks and for the result of work, for the “product” made by the employees as a whole.

"The boss" is, in a sense, a director with his own ideas and ideas. It calculates, analyzes, compares, organizes the work process and launches the workflow mechanism. It turns out a certain system, an organism, thought out and created by him. This includes risks, expectations, concerns and difficulties in performing various kinds of tasks.

What do you gain when you go “on free bread” and become “your own boss”?

The main motivation is freedom from already thought out rules, boundaries and frameworks of an “alien” system. It's just that a certain system of its own is being created. Figuratively speaking, this is a tree that you grow, fertilize, develop and … get pleasure from its, and, accordingly, your own, fruits.

Freedom implies not just doing what I want, know how and want, but, first of all, responsibility to yourself and what you intend to create.

And for this you need energy, your inner personal impulse in achievements, resources, knowledge, self-reliance and support, if necessary, from those who believe in you …

When you organize your business, it is akin to a separation process. This is an adult step in life and a responsible act. You are separated from the parent, you take care of yourself by yourself, providing food and accommodation for yourself.

Employment is a "mother's breast," in a sense. It's safe, warm, less energy-consuming and, most importantly, not as disturbing as when you organize your own work.

But only now, when such a period of personal awareness comes, that life in the system becomes very boring, cramped and no longer interesting … You want freedom, your creative flight and self-expression, then the "thoughts-horses" come to separate and act as you want and you choose yourself.

And what is needed in order for the "flight" in self-realization to be effective and constructive?

It turns out a lot of new things. There is a lot to learn.

Such as: the desire to organize oneself, first of all, and one's time to solve current problems and planned plans, the ability to take reasonable risks, even to be, at times, courageous in their decisions and open new projects and tasks. The ability to present oneself, declare oneself, be active and thus create a basis for one's business.

Plan your actions, be stress-resistant, be able to “take the blow” if necessary, and deal with your personal anxiety. And alarm is an inevitable companion, signaling about some new and unexpected turns and labyrinths of "free flight" …

It is good to have your own "safety cushion", the possibility of additional income, thus insuring yourself during periods when there is a "kickback" at work. And sometimes it happens like ebb and flow, in waves …

An unconditional minus - there is no stability and no material guarantee from the result of work "at large".

Here, in my opinion, a certain philosophical view and meaning on the very process of one's activity is also important. Motivation, value and your personal interest in what you do, produce and "give birth" …

What do you invest in your occupation, business and who are you without it?

Is it worth all the effort spent, or is it really easier - to go and work on a ready-made and already organized job by someone? And "do not take a steam bath" because of various kinds of pitfalls encountered on the path of development and growth of your "business" …

You can also combine, if possible, work for hire and "free flight". It can maintain and give a sense of protection and security.

And sometimes, due to some circumstances, it is no longer possible to work on a "finished" job. These may be age restrictions, physiological difficulties, some kind of peculiar personality traits, and in general the politics and philosophy of an enterprise or firm may not be interested in you as an employee.

But life goes on … And if you have internal resources, skills, knowledge and the main desire to realize yourself and your potential, then I think it is worth looking for your personal opportunities to realize your abilities.
