Perfectionism - in psychology, the belief that the ideal can and should be achieved, the belief that the imperfect result of work has no right to exist.

And this means that you tend to put off "for later", that which can make you, even a little bit, happier today.

Perfectionists are people who are afraid to start until they are completely sure of the result!

- And how can you be sure that something does not happen day after day and year after year?

- Right. No way!

Therefore, perfectionism is directly related to delayed life syndrome!

Delayed Life Syndrome - This a pathological condition in which a person cannot enjoy today and constantly lays off all your plans for the future.

Sometimes, without daring to make a choice in favor of action, a person remains:

  • at a hated job

This is, for example, when a person does not think about his actions, but performs them "automatically" and, at the same time, it turns out great! For example, he speaks a foreign language, no longer picking up words, or drives a car without scrolling through the rules in his head.

To reach the highest level of competence - unconscious competence it is possible, only after the first three!

In order to understand what will help you to come to it is necessary to live to her "road map" in the form of actions. And actions are always indicated by verbs!

Do a simple exercise

  1. Choose the area of life that is very important to you, but for some reason you postpone it “for later”. If you were on the first level unconscious lack of competence, you wouldn't even think about it at all!
  2. Means you are on the second level deliberate lack of competence … “I know I don’t know how / I don’t know how…”.
  3. Congratulations on your dream already. It's time to turn it into a challenge and find a solution!
  4. Write 10 verbs (your actions) that will help you reach the third, already quite high level conscious competence.
  5. Write the time of the given action by typing each verb.
  6. Include this information in your schedule.
  7. It is important to remember that the goal must fit into the SMART Model, otherwise it will not be sustainable. After all, not a real goal, it can simply drive a person into depression! For example, it's not realistic for me to become a dancer, no matter how hard I try).
  8. Follow these steps according to your schedule!
  9. I am 100% sure that if you honestly do this, the level of conscious competence is guaranteed to you. It will become easier, more interesting, more fun for you
  10. If you just continue with these steps, you will gradually move to the highest level of professionalism!
