But, in my opinion, the most striking and hardworking in the body - no, not the heart and lungs - but the subcortical structures of the brain. After all, there are born and live, as in a house, the most important parts of our psyche - emotions.

How are they useful:

📌Signal about what is happening in our inner world and around us. What needs we have and how should we react to events. If we can hear these signals, it is very easy for us to choose our direction in life.

Scary - run away; you feel disgust - move away; you are angry, you do not need it; arouses interest - come closer; rejoice, it's yours, go check.

📌 Regulate our condition and influence our behavior. When we throw out emotions, inner tension decreases. It is very important to express your feelings, not to keep to yourself. This will get rid of blocks and constrictions, as a result of psychosomatic diseases. And experiences encourage action, make you struggle with obstacles on the way to the goal.

📌Help to communicate. We express emotions with gestures, facial expressions, pantomime (body movement), the strength and intonation of the voice. And also - we blush, turn pale, sweat.

People around us capture our state: pain, fear, joy, excitement, and so on. Empathize with or join our emotion. For example, they also begin to worry or rejoice. Mirror neurons work here. the interlocutor feels and reads us more non-verbally than hears our words. The most successful speakers are people who can emotionally charge an entire speech.

❗Emotions structure the experience and, like a navigator, guide you towards goals. If we listen to them when we make plans, we will live our own, and not a life imposed by someone.

❗But, it is important that emotions do not control us and our reality, but we control them. Listening to the direction of emotions and living under the influence of them are different things.

A person is happy when he remains himself and acts as "the heart prompts."
