There are films that heal parts of the soul. This is one of them. "Christopher Robin" is a very kind and meditative film. This is a fairy tale, and in order to admit it to the level of the heart, the heart will have to open at least for a while:) It is important to understand that the film has nothing to do with the real story of an adult Christopher Robin. It's hard for me to say why it was necessary to go so far, but I'm ready to explore the film "Christopher Robin" as an independent fairy tale that Alan Milne could really write

What happened to Christopher?

Like all children except Peter Pan, he had to grow up. And very, very early. Little Christopher was ripped out of childhood like a young flower, placed from spacious forests and scented fields into cramped classrooms designed to suppress and restrict any manifestation of freedom, creativity, and, therefore, life. The film does not raise these topics aloud, however, I am little surprised by the fact that a boy who has not completed his childhood, a man who survived a terrible war, avoids any ties with his family, drowning in work … The pain that during this time managed to accumulate in Christopher, his resentment about the interrupted childhood, makes him, in a defensive reaction, avoid any thoughts and feelings whatsoever about this amazing period. As if his childhood, Christopher did not have …

Christopher Robin is also about how we interact with our children. An adult Christopher, having met his teddy bear from childhood, is forced to make a trip with him. This is how our own inner child comes to us, if one day, out of fear of pain, we buried him in rotten autumn leaves, in a quiet, beautiful forest. He brings us pain because he himself doesn't know how to deal with it. Real children do the same. They bring pain to their parents. However, if a parent has not once healed his own Inner Child, I'm afraid he may have trouble accepting and processing the feelings and emotions of the family member

How often parents convince themselves that their children are happy. And they can be fully understood: they are trying very hard to give this happiness the way they see it. But the question is, how does a child see happiness? And how does your inner child see happiness?

Christopher desperately asks the bear to be lifeless, playing with him in the so-called "Quiet Hour", during which the bear must sleep. And again, isn't that what every parent wants to do from time to time? We do this, again unable to cope with feelings and emotions, both our own and our children. Not understanding why and why they were given this red ball, when necessary … Substitute something of your own

All of Christopher Robin's toys represent a reflection of his own inner parts, in essence. In the train scene, some of the characters actually list the qualities they are archetypes of in the universe of living plush toys:

If you have not watched the film, determine for yourself which qualities belong to whom. Also, you can figure out what qualities are represented by the characters that are not involved in this scene. Collecting these pieces one by one, the adult Christopher puts together the pieces of a broken childhood to put them together into a single working picture. In an image that will subsequently be able to protect himself, and thanks to which he himself will be able to protect his loved ones. Equally important, the central toy and no less important hero of the film is the bear Winnie the Pooh, whose main qualities are immense kindness and openness. He is not very clever, but intelligence is not needed where the heart needs to be healed. What the bear does an excellent job, in the end, involuntarily, without realizing it, conveying to Christopher the idea that he met the wisest creature in the universe
